Collection Site Design: Hero, Layout, Header & Tab Heroes

A collection (multi-unit) site has the same design system as a property site — hero, header, intro reveal, brand — plus a few controls of its own: how the hero is built from your properties, how the properties are arranged on the landing page, and a separate hero for every custom tab.

Where: Collection editor (Manage → Edit collection) → left rail → Home → right panel with sub-tabs Page · Brand · Contact · Hero · Page Content. Custom tabs get their own right panel: Basics · Hero · Page Content.

The landing hero: property photos or a custom carousel

Where (collection site): Collection editor → left rail → Home → right panel → Hero tab → Hero carousel → toggle between your properties' photos and a hand-picked carousel; add slides, drag to reorder, "Adjust focal point"

Option	What it does
Property photos	Rotate through your attached properties' cover photos.
Custom carousel	Show only the slides you add here.

Each slide has its own Adjust focal point so the crop is right on desktop and mobile — the same control as on property sites. See Positioning Your Hero Photos.

Where the words sit, overlay, medallion, badges

On collection sites these live under Home → Brand → Hero style (rather than the Hero tab, which is only about the slides):

Billboard and Collage put the title in a band, so there is nothing to place. Collection sites: always available under Brand → Hero style.

Option	What it does	Best for
Centered	Headline centered, full search bar overlaid near the bottom.	Symmetric photos where the middle of the image is clear (sky, water, an open lawn). Pair with the Top fade overlay.
Stacked	Headline grouped low, full search bar overlaid directly beneath.	Photos whose top half is the interesting part — the headline and search bar group low so the top stays clear. Pair with the Bottom fade overlay.
Editorial left	Headline lower-left with a compact search pill that expands on click.	Photos with a strong right-hand subject; the headline sits lower-left with a compact search pill. Pair with the Left fade overlay.
Minimal	Full-bleed hero photo — the booking bar sits just below the fold.	A photo-first look with a full-bleed image and the booking bar just below the fold.
Classic band	Hero photo with the full booking bar in a clean band at the base.	A framed photo with the complete booking bar in a clean band at its base.
Billboard	Full-bleed hero photo; title, rating and details sit in a clean band just below the image.	Keeping the photo pristine — nothing is overlaid; title, rating and details sit in a band under the image (this is the Billboard layout).
Medallion — Stacked	A centered crest — your emblem and a short title stacked in a frosted circle.	A boutique, crest-like brand moment: emblem + short title stacked inside a frosted circle in the middle of the hero.
Medallion — Arc	A centered crest — title curved along the top, tagline along the bottom.	The same centered crest with the title curved along the top and the tagline along the bottom.
Medallion — Logo only	A centered crest — just your emblem in a frosted circle.	A logo-only crest — just your emblem in the disc.

Option	What it does
Standard	Subtle darkening so text stays readable over any photo.
Top fade	Darkens just the top, clearing downward — pairs with Centered.
Left fade	Darkens just the left, clearing rightward — pairs with Editorial.
Bottom fade	Darkens just the base, clearing upward — pairs with Stacked.
None	No overlay. Best for already-dark or low-contrast photos.

The Medallion placement, hero text (eyebrow, headline, toggles, color, shadow), and hero badges work exactly as described in Hero Text Placement & Medallions and Hero Overlay, Text & Badges.

How properties are arranged

Where (collection site): Collection editor → left rail → Home → right panel → Brand tab → Layout

Option	What it does
Map + list	Property cards in a list beside a live map — guests browse by place.
Grid showcase	A photo-forward grid of property cards with no map — guests browse by look.

Header, logos, intro

Same controls as property sites — see Header, Logos & Intro Styles. Collections additionally have Show tabs in header under Header style: turn it off for a logo-plus-menu header.

Tab heroes (custom pages)
