Haven reads the sentence. It works out the place, how firm your dates are, who’s coming, what must be there, and the feel you’re after, ranks every bookable stay honestly against all of it, checks the host’s real calendar and prices, and tells you plainly what it found. When it can’t find the literal ask, it says so and shows the closest real options — never a dead end, never a padded page.
“Around October 3–11” becomes ±3 days automatically; “a week in July, flexible” searches the whole month; “exact dates” keeps them firm. Closed dates surface “Available Oct 4–11” instead of hiding the stay.

Location (inside the place, nearby, elsewhere), fit (sleeps enough, allows the dog, has the hot tub), and meaning (the stay’s dossier vs your vibe) combine into exact, close, and similar tiers. Nothing is invented; a stay that doesn’t fit is not stretched into the top tier.
With dates, each result is checked against the host’s own calendar rules (blocked nights, minimum stays, check-in days) and priced from the host’s own rates and fees. Closed literal dates show the nearest open window. Prices are never shown without dates.
One or two honest sentences, a grounded why-line per stay (“12 km from Marathon, sleeps 6, kayaks included, open Oct 4–11”), and refinement chips to tap next. If nothing matches the literal ask, it says so and pivots to what’s real.
