Guests earn points on every direct booking at your properties and spend them as a discount on the next stay — automatically, on your branded checkout, with no OTA in the middle.
Hotels run loyalty programs because points give travelers a reason to come back to the same brand. Independent hosts usually have a CRM and a discount code, but nothing that accumulates from stay to stay the way a hotel membership does. Haven adds a per-host points balance — earned on your direct bookings, spendable only with you — so “book with us again” is a number sitting in the guest’s trips dashboard, not a hope.
Genius, Expedia Rewards, and Airbnb’s saved lists pull the next stay back onto a marketplace. A host-owned points balance is the direct-booking answer.
A one-time code is useful once. Points from this stay become the reason to book the next one.
Spreadsheets and “stay 5, get $50” texts fall apart across a portfolio. Haven tracks earn, pending, and redeem per guest automatically.
Open Grow your brand → Loyalty & referrals and flip the switch. Set how many points guests earn per dollar, how many points equal $1 off, and a max redemption percent. Defaults are 5 pts / $1, 100 pts = $1, capped at 50% of the stay.
When a guest books through your Haven site, points grant as pending and vest after checkout. Partner and OTA-synced stays do not earn — this is a reason to book direct.
Signed-in guests see Your rewards on /trips: per-host balances, dollar value, pending points, and a Book again link back to your site.
Two days after checkout, guests get an email with their balance, what it is worth, and photo cards of the stays where they can spend it, linked on your own site. A reminder follows every 90 days while the points sit unspent, and two warnings go out before any expiry date you set.
On the next booking, available points apply automatically as a Loyalty reward line — a pre-tax discount you fund, like a code. Guests can remove them if they want to save the balance.
The host tab shows points issued, pending, redeemed, dollar discount applied, guests with a balance, the bookings your rewards emails led to, and the recent ledger. Turn the program off anytime; existing balances stay visible but cannot be spent until you turn it back on.
Watch the loop close
One loop from checkout to checkout: the direct stay earns points that vest after the stay, Haven emails the guest their balance and where to spend it, and the next booking applies the reward on its own.
Vested after checkout — spendable on the next direct stay
Haven emails the balance, automatically
“You have 2,450 points at The Dock House — worth $24.50 off your next stay.”
Beach houses, cabins, ski rentals, and any stay people repeat. Points make the next booking the default instead of a fresh OTA search.
One program across the portfolio, so a guest who loved unit A has a reason to try unit B.
Run one rewards program under your brand across every owner you manage. You fund redemptions; each owner is paid the full price and can see exactly what you funded.
Only direct Haven bookings earn. Combined with the guest CRM and Smart offers, points are the in-checkout reason to skip the marketplace next time.
Keep promotions and codes. Loyalty is a separate checkout discount with its own ledger, stats, and guest-facing balance.
Loyalty is wired into the same checkout, guest records and email engine as the rest of Haven — which is why it runs itself instead of becoming another spreadsheet.
Balances live on the same checkout that takes the booking, so redemptions apply automatically as a pre-tax line — no codes to email, no math to check.
See the website builderThe same AI email marketing that invites past guests back can lead with the points they already hold — a concrete number, not a generic “we miss you”.
See AI email marketingGuests see their per-host balance and a Book again link on their Haven trips dashboard — next to the guidebook and stay history they already use.
See the guest experienceChain hotels fund loyalty because the brand captures the next stay. Haven gives independent hosts the same loop without turning Haven into the brand guests are loyal to.
Genius, Expedia Rewards, and similar programs pay the traveler to book the platform again. Your points pay them to book you again.
Manual “stay 5, get one free” tracking does not vest, reverse on cancel, or auto-apply at checkout. Haven’s ledger does.
Useful for a campaign. Loyalty points accumulate from every direct stay and show up as a balance the guest already owns.
