Property Site Editor: Where Every Design Setting Lives

Your property page is a full website, and everything about how it looks is configured in the property editor. This article is the map: how to open the editor, which tab holds which control, and — more importantly — which control to reach for when you want to change something you see on the page.

Opening the editor

Both site editors open from the Sites group in the host dashboard sidebar — there is no "Manage" menu.

Where (property site): Sites → Listing sites → Edit listing Where (collection site): Sites → Group sites → Edit multi-unit site Applies when: Pick the sub-tab that matches the site: one listing is Listing sites, a site showing several listings together is Group sites.

If your site shows several listings on one page, it is a multi-unit site (some hosts call these group sites) and it has its own editor — see Collection Site Design.

Getting around: it's three clicks, not one

The sidebar has four tabs across the top — Space · Arrival · ⚙ · Page. Everything about how your site looks is behind Page; the other tabs hold your content (photos, amenities, pricing, house rules, check-in) and your preferences.

Click Page. The sidebar switches to a strip of your site's pages: Home, then any tabs you've added (Local Guide, Blog, FAQ, custom tabs), then + New tab. Each of those tabs is its own page on your live site — yoursite.com/blog, yoursite.com/faq, and so on — the same way a multi-unit site's tabs work.
Click Home. A panel opens on the right, with the live preview in the middle.
Pick a tab in that panel. This is the step people miss: the panel always opens on Hero, so if you came looking for your site name you'll be staring at hero settings. The panel's own tab strip runs Page · Brand · Hero · Sections · Contact — click the one you want.

The two most common mix-ups: (1) hero layout, hero photos, focal point, text placement, overlays, medallions, header style, and intro animation are not under Photos & Spaces — they're behind Page → Home. (2) Your site name, tagline and description are on the panel's Page tab, and the content that runs down the page is on Sections — neither is the Hero tab the panel opens on.

Home → the right panel

Click Home on the Page tab and the right panel opens with five sub-tabs across the top:

Page	The words: site name, tagline, description, and the sections shown on the home page. The public location under the title is Display location (Space → Location), not this tab.
Brand	Logos (header, expanded/hero, secondary, favicon), Header style (the sticky navigation bar), Intro reveal (opening animation), typography (fonts + hero text sizes), brand colors and page background.
Hero	The top of the page: Hero layout (Full bleed / Billboard / Collage / Carousel), Mosaics, hand-picked Hero photos with per-slide focal point & zoom, Page audio (a soundtrack for the page), and Text & style — content placement, hero overlay & strength, eyebrow/headline, location & tagline toggles, hero badges, and (for the Medallion placement) every medallion option.
Sections	The body of the home page below the hero: which sections appear, their order, and the words and photos inside each one. This is where "change the content on my website" lives.
Contact	Public contact details, social links, and the Footer (logo, business name, location). The footer shows Display location by default; turn on Show street address to use the full street address instead.

Everything you change is reflected in the live preview in the middle. Switch the preview between desktop and mobile with the device toggle above it.

Where (property site): Property editor → Layout tab → Home → the right panel opens on Hero — use its top tab strip (Page · Brand · Hero · Sections · Contact) to switch Where (collection site): Multi-unit site editor → Layout tab → Home → the right panel opens on Hero — use its top tab strip (Page · Brand · Footer · Hero · Page Content) to switch Applies when: The two editors do not share a sidebar, and their panel tabs are named differently (Sections on a property, Page Content on a collection) — follow the path for the editor you are actually in.

How the hero fits together

The hero (the top of the page) is built from three layers, each with its own control. Knowing which layer you want to move is what makes the fix a one-click change:

The photo layer — which photo(s) show and how each is cropped. → Hero layout, Hero photos, and per-slide Focal point & zoom. Dragging the focal point moves the photo underneath everything else. See Positioning Your Hero Photos.
The text layer — the headline, tagline, location line, badges, and the booking bar. → Content placement decides where they sit (Centered, Stacked, Editorial left, Minimal, Classic band, Medallion); Text & style decides what they say and how big they are (Show location only hides or shows the line — the words themselves are Display location). The overlay layer — the tint between the photo and the text that keeps words readable. → Hero overlay and Overlay strength. See Hero Overlay, Text & Badges.

Above all three sits the header (navigation bar), configured under Brand → Header style, and an optional Intro reveal that plays once when the page loads. See Header, Logos & Intro Styles.

Change your site name, tagline or description	Page → Home → Page (the panel opens on Hero — click Page in its tab strip). On a multi-unit site the field is Multi-Unit Site Name.
Change the content that runs down the page — headings, copy, section photos	Page → Home → Sections on a property site; Page → Home → Page Content on a multi-unit site. Open a section to edit its heading, copy, photo and button.
Add a whole extra page (About, Experiences, Getting here)	Page → + New tab. Each tab gets its own Basics · Hero · Page Content.
Get back a page you deleted	Click Undo in the toast right after deleting. Later, Page → + New tab → Recently deleted → Restore lists every page deleted from this site in the last 30 days; the help assistant can also do it ("restore the page I deleted"). See Restore a Deleted Page or Tab.
Give other listings this listing's design — sections, pages, tab placement, hero, brand, or any single piece	Layout → Advanced → Apply to other listings… at the foot of the page list (also Home → Sections → Apply to other listings…). Tick what to copy, tick the listings, then choose Keep linked or Independent copy. Undo for 7 days. See Apply One Listing’s Design to Other Listings.
Move the photo so the title/booking bar isn't covering the best part (a walkway, a face, the view)	Home → Hero → Hero photos → hover the slide → Adjust focal point (drag; zoom in if it won't move). Then, if the words themselves should sit elsewhere, change Text & style → Content placement. Or pick the Billboard layout so nothing overlays the photo.
Put the title lower / higher / on the left	Home → Hero → Text & style → Content placement (Stacked = low, Centered = middle, Editorial left = lower-left).
Get the words off the photo entirely	Home → Hero → Hero layout → Billboard (title in a band below) or Collage.
Fix a hero photo that looks dark or a title that's hard to read	Home → Hero → Text & style → Hero overlay + Overlay strength (lower it, or choose None).
Darken or tint the photo on a parallax story section	Open the Parallax section → Presentation → Overlay strength / Overlay color. Applies to every parallax section on that page.
Center (or left/right align) the words on a section you added — a Photo break, carousel, heading	Page → Home → Sections → open the section → Align (top of the editor). Auto keeps the layout's default; Left / Center / Right move the eyebrow, title, body and button together, for that section only.
Put a story section's photo on the other side, or change the left/right pattern	Page → Home → Sections → open a Story or Map story section → Side (top of the editor). Story sections directly next to each other keep alternating, so this flips the ones beside it too; a story section on its own flips alone.
Center the tagline or location text on one of the page's built-in photo breaks	Page → Home → Sections → the Photo break, Guest stories, or Photo break · location row → Align pills on the row. See Built-in photo break text alignment.
Lighten, darken, or tint a built-in photo break, or make it shorter or taller	Page → Home → Sections → the break's row → Edit → Overlay strength, Overlay color, Height. See Built-in photo break style.
Change which photo shows at the top	Home → Hero → Hero photos (hand-pick). With no hand-picked photos, the first gallery photo (the Cover slot under Space → Photos & Spaces) is used.
Show several photos at the top	Home → Hero → Hero layout → Collage (up to 7 tiles) or Carousel (slides that auto-advance).
Add a video at the top	Home → Hero → Hero photos → Add → video (Full bleed shows it alone; Carousel mixes it with photos).
Add music or a soundtrack to the page	Home → Hero → Page audio. Independent of the hero layout. See Page Audio.
Turn the title into a circular crest / badge	Home → Hero → Text & style → Content placement → Medallion, then tune the Medallion content block.
Hide the location or tagline under the title, or change the headline text	Home → Hero → Text & style → Show location / Show tagline / Hero headline / Hero eyebrow. On a multi-unit site, Show in hero also sits on Home → Page next to Display locations.
Add or change the location under the title on the home page	Space → Location → Display location (e.g. "Catskills, New York"). On a multi-unit site: Home → Page → Display locations. See Setting Your Location.
Change the location in the footer, or show the street address	Home → Contact → Footer on a property site; Home → Footer on a multi-unit site. Defaults to Display location; Show street address is off unless you turn it on. Edit the words under Space → Location → Display location.
Make the title bigger or smaller, or put it in all caps	Home → Brand → Typography → Hero text (size, weight, spacing, All caps).
Stop the header from hiding the top of the photo, or change where the logo/tabs sit	Home → Brand → Header style (preset, expanded/collapsed background, logo size, hairline).
Turn the opening animation off (or on)	Home → Brand → Intro reveal.
Change fonts or brand colors	Home → Brand → Typography / Brand colors. Uploaded fonts live on your account — pick any of them on this listing, upload another, or delete one from Your fonts.
Change the photo behind the reviews or another section	Space → Photos & Spaces — the Parallax 1–4 slots (positions 5–8 in the gallery). See Adding Photos.
Stop gallery photos from changing (or the caption switching) when a guest hovers a tile	Space → Photos & Spaces → ··· (More photo tools) → Shuffle gallery photos off. On, tiles rotate through your other photos and peek at another on hover. See Gallery Hover & Shuffle.
Add a page (About, Experiences, Getting here) or make FAQ/Blog its own tab	Left rail + (new tab); feature pages toggle between inline and "As tab".
Use a section you already built on another listing or site	Page → Home → Sections → Add section → Reuse existing. Keep synced shares one section across pages (edit anywhere, updates everywhere); Make an independent copy goes its own way. See Reusing your Home on other listings.
Give every listing the same Home layout you designed on one	Page → Home → Sections → Apply to other listings… (shown once you have more than one listing). Tick the sections to copy, then the listings, then Keep linked or Independent copy. See Reusing your Home on other listings.
Rename a tab (Blog, Local Guide, FAQ, Experience, or any custom page)	Left rail → click the tab → Basics → Tab Name.

Built-in photo break text alignment

Every property Home page ships with three full-bleed photo breaks that are part of the page rather than sections you added: the tagline break under the hero (your tagline over Parallax 1, centered), the Guest stories break (the second photo, shown when you have no featured reviews, words on the left), and the location break (your display location over Parallax 3, words on the right). Their alignment lives right on their rows in Page → Home → Sections: each row carries Left / Center / Right pills. The highlighted pill is what the page shows now; click another edge to move the words, or click the highlighted one to return to the default. The pick applies to both the photo and the mosaic version of that break.

Sections you added yourself — including Photo break cards from the section builder — take their alignment from the Align control at the top of the section editor instead.

Where (property site): Property editor → Layout tab → Home → right panel → Sections (the panel opens on Hero — click Sections in its top tab strip) → find the Photo break, Guest stories, or Photo break · location row → Align pills (Left / Center / Right) on the row Applies when: Property sites only — multi-unit sites have no built-in breaks; their photo breaks are Parallax section cards. Applies to both the full-bleed photo and the mosaic versions of each break. The Guest stories pills move the photo-break copy only; featured reviews keep their own layout. Range: Left | Center | Right per break (defaults: tagline break Center, Guest stories break Left, location break Right).

Built-in photo break style

You can restyle each built-in photo break the way you restyle a parallax section you added. In Page → Home → Sections, click Edit on the Photo break, Guest stories, or Photo break · location row. A Style panel opens under the row, and your page preview stays in view:

Overlay strength sets how dark the photo sits behind the words. Slide it down to let more of the photo through.
Overlay color tints that wash (black by default).
Height makes the band Short, Medium, or Tall. Guest stories offers Medium and Tall so your featured reviews still fit.

Each break is styled on its own, and each change shows in the preview after a moment. Reset puts the break back to its original look; a break you never touch keeps it. To swap the photo itself, use Change photo in the panel (it opens Photos & Spaces). On Guest stories, Edit reviews picks which reviews show.

Where (property site): Property editor → Layout tab → Home → right panel → Sections (the panel opens on Hero — click Sections in its top tab strip) → find the Photo break, Guest stories, or Photo break · location row → Edit (opens Style under the row) Applies when: Property sites only — multi-unit sites have no built-in breaks; their photo breaks are Parallax section cards with their own Presentation controls. Overlay and height apply to the full-bleed photo version of a break; the mosaic version has no photo wash. On Guest stories with featured reviews, the overlay replaces both the photo wash and the fade behind the reviews. Range: Overlay strength 0–100 (starts at the break’s current look: tagline 50, Guest stories 35, location 30). Overlay color #rrggbb (default black). Height Short / Medium / Tall (defaults: tagline Tall, Guest stories and location Medium).

Reusing your Home on other listings

Design the Home page once, then carry it to the rest of your listings instead of rebuilding it section by section.

One section at a time. In Page → Home → Sections, Add section → Reuse existing lists every section you have built on any of your sites. Pick one and choose how it should relate to the original:

Keep synced (recommended) — one section, everywhere. Edit it on any page and every synced copy updates too. You can unlink a copy later.
Make an independent copy — starts from the same content but lives its own life; edits do not flow either way, and copies cannot be re-linked later. Forms are always independent copies so each page keeps its own leads.

The whole Home, or the pieces you pick. With more than one listing, Page → Home → Sections also shows Apply to other listings… in the header. It opens a three-step walk-through: tick the story sections to copy and whether the section order and hidden built-in sections go with them, tick the listings, then review. Keep linked makes later edits here reach those listings; Independent copy is one-time. On the review step, Replace them moves the sections already on those listings to their Reuse existing library, while Keep them too adds the copied sections beside them. Each listing always keeps its own About, The Location and Explore the Area wording and photos. The same walk-through, opened from Layout → Advanced, also copies custom pages, tab placement, hero and brand — see Apply One Listing’s Design to Other Listings.

Brand across every site. To put one brand on all of your listings and multi-unit sites at once, use your brand library: Grow your brand → Brand → ⋯ on a brand → Use on all sites…. Attach a brand there once and every listing and multi-unit site picks it up. See Header, Logos & Intro Styles and Hero Layouts.

Tips

Preview on mobile before you finish. Content placement, overlays, and focal points all crop differently on a phone; the focal point you set is honored on every screen size.
Change one layer at a time. If the photo is right but the words are wrong, don't move the photo — change the placement. If the words are right but the photo is cropped badly, drag the focal point.
Ask the AI assistant. Describe what you see ("the title is covering the walkway") and it will name the exact control and where it is.
