The hero is the top of your property page — the first thing a guest sees. The Hero layout decides how that space presents your photos and, just as importantly, whether your headline and booking bar sit on the photo or below it. Pick it first; every other hero setting builds on it.
Where: Property editor → left rail → Home → right panel → Hero tab → the four layout cards at the top. The live preview updates as you switch, so try each one.
Where (property site): Property editor → left rail → Home → right panel → Hero tab → Hero layout (four cards at the top)
| Option | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Full bleed | One full-screen photo (or your hero video) with your headline and the booking bar overlaid on the image. Uses your gallery order unless you hand-pick hero photos. | A dramatic first impression when you have one standout wide photo and want text on the image. |
| Billboard | A pristine full-width photo with nothing on it; the title, rating and details sit in a clean band just below the image. | When text over the photo would cover something important (a walkway, a face, the view) — the photo stays untouched and the words never compete with it. |
| Collage | An editorial grid of up to 7 of your best photos with the title band beneath. Click any tile to choose the photo that goes there. | Showing several spaces at once (exterior + pool + living room) above the fold. |
| Carousel | Hand-picked photos and videos that auto-advance (swipe or cross-fade) with your headline overlaid. | When no single photo tells the story, or you want a video mixed in. |
Billboard adds one extra choice: whether the photo runs edge-to-edge or floats inset with rounded corners.
Where (property site): Property editor → left rail → Home → right panel → Hero tab → Hero layout → Billboard selected → Frame pills Applies when: Only when the Hero layout is Billboard.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Full-bleed | Photo spans edge-to-edge across the top of the page. |
| Inset & rounded | Photo sits inset with rounded corners, like a collection landing. |
A mosaic is a collage you compose yourself from your own photos — split panels, custom arrangements — and reuse as a single image.
Where (property site): Property editor → left rail → Home → right panel → Hero tab → Mosaics → "New mosaic" (or edit an existing one) → then add it as a hero slide or gallery item
| Setting | Full bleed | Billboard | Collage | Carousel |

I switched to Full bleed and now the title covers the best part of my photo. Two fixes, use either or both: drag the photo under the title with Adjust focal point on that slide, or move the title with Text & style → Content placement (Stacked puts it low, Editorial left puts it lower-left). If you'd rather have no words on the photo at all, switch back to Billboard.
Why did my hero photo change when I reordered the gallery? With no hand-picked hero photos, Full bleed and Billboard use your gallery's first photo (the Cover slot). Hand-pick photos on the Hero tab to decouple the hero from the gallery order.
Collage only lets me add 7 photos. That's the maximum grid; remove one to swap another in. Click any tile to choose the photo that goes there.
