Gallery Hover & Shuffle: Living vs. Still Photo Gallery

The photo gallery on your property page is a grid of tiles, one photo each, grouped by room or space. The grid shapes its tiles to your photos (see Adding Photos & Video). By default that grid is still: the tile you placed stays put, a hover simply zooms it, and the caption is always that photo's own.

Turn on shuffle and the grid comes alive: every few seconds a tile crossfades to another photo from the same room, and when a guest hovers a tile it peeks at yet another one. The caption under the cursor follows whichever photo is showing at that moment. Shuffle gallery photos is the switch between the two.

Shuffle on — living gallery	Tiles rotate through the photos that did not fit in the grid every few seconds and peek at another photo on hover; the caption follows the photo shown.
Shuffle off — still gallery	Every tile keeps its own photo. Hovering zooms it and shows its own caption; nothing changes over time.

What each setting does

Shuffle on — living gallery

Tiles slowly rotate through the photos that did not fit in the grid, so a room with 30 photos shows more than its visible tiles.
A tile only shuffles to photos of a similar shape: a tall tile rotates through portrait photos, a landscape tile through landscape ones. A tile with no matching photo left in that room keeps its own.
Hovering a tile peeks at another photo from that room; moving away restores the original.
The caption shown on hover belongs to the photo currently in the tile, so it changes with the photo.
The first, largest tile never shuffles. It stays on the photo you placed there.

Shuffle off — still gallery (default)

Every tile keeps the photo you placed there. Nothing changes over time.
Hovering zooms the photo and shows its own caption.
Guests still open the lightbox by clicking any tile and browse every photo there.

Either way, photo order, spaces, tags, captions, and the lightbox are exactly as you set them. This switch only decides whether tiles trade places on their own.

How to change it

Open the listing and choose Edit Listing.
On the Space tab, open Photos & Spaces.
Click the ··· button at the right end of the toolbar above the gallery.
Flip Shuffle gallery photos. It saves immediately — watch for Saved at the top right — and the live preview reloads so you can hover the tiles and check.

Good to know

The setting is per listing. Change it on each property that should behave differently.
Guests whose device asks for reduced motion never see the timed rotation, whichever way the switch is set.
The switch does not touch the hero, the story cards, or the parallax strips at the top of the page. Those follow the gallery slots described in Adding Photos & Video.
The caption is the photo's description from the tag & description dialog in Photos & Spaces. A photo without a description shows no caption on hover, in either mode.
