Stripe integration allows you to accept payments directly through Haven, providing a secure and reliable payment processing solution. You are the provider and seller of the stay; Haven facilitates the payment securely through Stripe on your behalf, and booking funds settle to your connected Stripe account.
Stripe is a payment processing platform that:
You don't need a Stripe account first: Haven opens one for you.
New accounts are Stripe Full: guests pay straight into your own Stripe account, you are the merchant of record, and Stripe pays you out on your own schedule. Hosts who connected earlier are on Stripe Express, where Haven releases each booking's payout 24 hours after check-in, and can upgrade to Stripe Full from the Payouts tab whenever they like (it's optional). The Payouts tab names your account. See direct payments.
On Stripe Full, the guest's payment lands in your Stripe balance and Stripe deposits it to your bank on your payout schedule (change it in your Stripe dashboard). The rest of this section describes Stripe Express:
See Scheduled Payouts for the full timeline, the Payouts dashboard view, and what happens on cancellations or deposit captures.
On Stripe Express, Haven controls when booking funds leave your Stripe balance and reach your bank. Those accounts use a manual payout schedule — Stripe will not auto-deposit booking revenue on its own. (On Stripe Full, Stripe pays you out on your own schedule.)
Payouts follow the industry-standard guest-protection model:
View upcoming releases under Host Dashboard → Payouts → Payouts pill. See Scheduled Payouts for amounts, blocked payouts, and fee handling.
Once connected, the Payouts tab shows Connected as — the business name, login email and bank Stripe holds for the account. A teammate with a Manager seat can connect Stripe on your behalf; Stripe's onboarding then asks them for a business and a bank, and whatever they enter is where your payouts go. If Connected as names a business or bank that is not yours, choose Not your account? Disconnect (account owner only) and connect your own. Disconnecting only removes the link to Haven — the Stripe account stays with whoever set it up — and is refused while Stripe is still holding a balance, a booking payout is still owed through it, or a security deposit hold is open on it. A Stripe Full account is the merchant of record on your bookings, so it can't be disconnected from the Payouts tab; contact Haven support.
Yes. On the Payouts tab, in the Your other Stripe accounts card, choose Connect another of your own; Stripe sets it up like your first. This card is only for accounts in your own name. To pay a homeowner's own Stripe, set up owners instead (Set up owners on Payouts). Then on the Who each property pays card, pick that account on the property's row. Each account keeps its own statement descriptor and books. The option appears once your account takes guest payments directly ("guests pay into your Stripe account" on the Payouts tab); an account still on Haven's scheduled payouts presses that upgrade on Payouts first.
An owner can connect more than one Stripe account on the Payouts tab, in the Your other Stripe accounts card, and choose which one each property pays into on the Who each property pays card. A property's stays and upsells still pay into one account. Teammates on a Manager seat and clients still connect Stripe under their own Haven login.
Every account owner with a listing has the Who each property pays card. The picker on a row appears when you have another Stripe account connected or the account has an accepted Manager seat.
Whoever a listing pays, it is one Stripe account for that listing's stay and upsells together. Haven does not support Stripe Global Payouts and does not pay upsells to a different bank than the stay.
A Manager who should be paid connects their own Stripe from Payouts → Your own payout account. When each owner should be paid into their own Stripe, a Haven partner adds them as a client (Settings → Clients → Add a client). A host who is not a partner uses Set up owners on Payouts, then invites owners on the Owners tab: the property stays in their account. The owner signs in to their client portal, and the owner connects Stripe on their own client-portal login and manages that Haven account. The partner's seats cannot connect or change the client's Stripe, and cannot close the account. From the host dashboard, the managing host opens that account from the account menu at the upper left, at the top of the left sidebar, and then has that client's listings, calendar, sites, and marketing. In both accounts, those listings can sit on a multi-unit site and in marketing: a multi-unit site in the client's account, and a portfolio multi-unit site in the partner's account.
Stripe charges processing fees:
Booking payment disputes may appear in your Stripe Dashboard, but Haven automatically contests eligible booking chargebacks and emails you — see Chargebacks & Disputes.
