AI credits pay for the AI work in Haven that costs real compute each time it runs: video clips, photo enhancements, AI-made pictures, brand rounds, reel builds, voice recordings, campaign drafts and blog posts. Every one of these shows its price in credits before you run it, nothing is charged without that click, and credits never expire.
Everything else in Haven stays included in your plan: the direct booking site, the guest portal and guidebook, your listing import, translations, help answers, planning with the assistant and all the background work Haven runs for itself.
Open Settings → Subscription (/host?tab=billing#ai-credits). The AI credits card
shows your balance, what it buys at today's prices ("480 credits: 24 video clips, or
96 photo edits, or 6 brand rounds, or 3 new reels"), your plan's monthly included
credits, the auto-reload switch, Add credits and History. The small coin mark
beside a button anywhere in the dashboard is the same number: hover or tap it to see
what you would have left.
What credits cost on the card lists every line by group. The numbers below are the launch rates; the card is always the current price.
| What | Credits |
|---|---|
| Video clip | 20 per clip |
| Clip enhance pass | 5 |
| Photo upscale | 2 |
| Photo restore, twilight conversion, extend | 5 per photo |
| AI-made picture | 5 |
| Email header artwork | 8 |
| Logo run | 15 |
| Brand directions round | 80 (your first is free) |
| Hero lockups | 20 |
| Reel build | 30 |
| Voice recording | 5 |
| Campaign draft | 10 |
| Broadcast AI draft | 3 |
| Blog Autopilot post | 30 |
| Guest AI reply, past your plan's monthly included credits | 1 per reply |

A line marked Included shows no coin mark anywhere and can never run you out of credits.
Every AI button in Haven carries a small animated orb, and its color tells you the cost before you read a word:
The same key is printed on the credits card and in the Add credits dialog. Nothing with a gold orb can ever touch your balance.
A reel never spends credits just by being made or approved. Every photo scene plays as a still with a slow camera move — free — and approving the storyboard is free too. Turning scenes into real AI clips is a separate step: the Ready to convert to video? strip in the reel editor (or a scene's own orb) shows the price in credits and converts only when you click. In the Reel Studio, each photo scene on the plan card says still or AI clip; stills are the default and the clip chip shows its price.
| Plan | Welcome credits (once) | Included every month | Bonus on every top-up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 100 | — | — |
| Starter | 300 | 40 | +5% |
| Growth | 600 | 100 | +10% |
| Pro | 1,200 | 240 | +15% |
Add credits on the Billing card opens Stripe Checkout with four amounts. Bigger amounts carry a bonus of their own, and your plan's bonus is added on top, up to 20% combined.
| You pay | Free | Starter | Growth | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | 200 | 210 | 220 | 230 |
| $25 | 500 | 525 | 550 | 575 |
| $50 | 1,000 | 1,100 | 1,150 | 1,200 |
| $100 | 2,000 | 2,300 | 2,400 | 2,400 |
Credits arrive the moment the payment succeeds, and you get a receipt by email. If you have no card on file yet, Checkout saves the one you pay with so it also serves anything else Haven sells outside the plan (domains, mailboxes, print).
The checkout box Reload automatically is pre-checked with its terms shown: when your balance drops below a threshold (100 credits unless you change it), your saved card is charged the amount you chose and the credits are added at your plan's bonus. You can switch it off, or change the threshold and amount, on the Billing card at any time. If a charge is declined, auto-reload turns itself off, you get an email, and the card shows why until you turn it back on.
If something you start costs more than you have, nothing runs and nothing is charged. A dialog tells you what you tried, what it costs, your balance and the shortfall, with Add credits right there (and the plan picker, for a Free host). The assistant never stops answering: when credits are empty it still looks things up and explains, and tells you a change will wait until credits are added.
If a paid job fails on Haven's side, its credits are returned to your wallet automatically and the refund appears in History.
Wherever a choice reuses something you already have, it carries a green Saves credits mark — for example Videos you already have when you feature a review, and Fewest credits on the Feature a review reel type. The choice beside it that makes something new shows its price in credits, so you can see the difference before you pick.
Haven also reuses on its own. When a reel's scenes are converted to video (Convert to video, or one scene's video button), any photo that was already turned into a clip — at import, or for an earlier reel — switches to that clip instead of a new one being made. Approving a storyboard adopts those existing clips too, free. Only photos with no clip are charged, and the message after you click says how many scenes reused a clip.
History on the Billing card lists every change to your balance by month: what was spent, where (the listing or project), who did it, what was added and what you paid. A CSV download covers the month shown.
Partners: your own wallet is on Partner → Billing, and the client costs table shows the credits your team used in each client's account alongside what you funded.
Some AI work runs on its own once you switch it on. Settings → Account & Profile → AI assistant → AI automations lists every one with what it does and what a run costs, and none runs until you switch it on:
Automations that already had a switch of their own (Blog Autopilot, guest AI replies, smart retargeting, guest memory, translation) are turned on where they always were; the card links you there.
