The Where you'll sleep section on your public site is one card per sleepable room: a name, the beds in that room, and a photo. You manage it from Photos — a photo group (a space) becomes a sleeping space when you attach beds to it.
This is not the same as Room Types, which group interchangeable bookable rooms on a Multi-Unit Site (for example eight identical King Suites). Sleeping arrangements describe the bedrooms and beds inside one property.
- You want guests to see each bedroom (or sofa-bed living room) with the right photo and bed list
- You imported from a PMS and rooms/beds already sync, but the photos or names on those cards need a host pass
- You built the listing in Haven and need to add bedrooms and beds yourself — Haven never invents beds from a photo
On your site, Where you'll sleep shows one card per room that has at least one bed.
- Name and photo come from the linked photo group in Photos. Rename the group and the card follows.
- Beds come from the room record (typed beds such as "1 King bed · 1 Sofa bed", or a count such as "2 beds" when the PMS only sends a number).
- A room with beds but no photo group still appears, with a quiet placeholder — never a photo borrowed from another room.
- If no room has beds, the section is hidden. Kitchen, bathroom, and other photo groups stay in the gallery; they do not appear here unless you add them as sleeping spaces.
The amenity bedrooms / beds counts (from your PMS or Amenities) are a separate summary. They can disagree with this list — for example Guesty counts empty placeholder bedrooms toward its bedroom total, and those rooms do not get a card until they have beds.
Photos is the primary editor. Sleeping arrangements on Edit listing is the same list in roll-up form.
- Open the property Edit listing page and go to Photos.
- Open By space. Groups split into Where you'll sleep (bedrooms already on your site, with a bed badge) and Spaces (kitchen, outdoors, and everything else). If Where you'll sleep is empty, the empty state shows how to add a group.
- Open a group's ··· menu:
- Add to Where you'll sleep… if it is not a sleeping space yet
- Sleeping space… if it already is (a bed badge on the chip and group also marks it)
- What you can do next depends on whether rooms sync from a PMS.
Haven does not create rooms from photos. You confirm the structure:
- Choose a room type (Bedroom, Shared space, Office, and similar). The picker suggests a type from the group name when it can.
- Enter the beds in that room (King, Queen, sofa bed, crib, and so on). At least one bed is required.
- Save. That group now appears on your site under Where you'll sleep.
To change beds or type later, open Sleeping space… again, or use Edit on that row in Sleeping arrangements.
Remove deletes the Haven-created room. The photo group stays in Photos as an ordinary space and the card leaves Where you'll sleep.
Rooms, room types, bed lists, and order come from your property management system and stay sync-locked in Haven. Edit those in the PMS; they update here on the next sync. Haven does not push bed edits back.
What you do own in Haven:
- Which photo group illustrates each room
- The group's display name (rename the tag)
On import, Haven matches photo groups to rooms when the tags look like bedroom groups (for example Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2). You can change any link.
Hospitable sends room types and typed beds but not room names, so the card title is the photo group name when linked, or a numbered type such as "Bedroom 1" when it is not. Guesty sends names and typed beds. OwnerRez sends names and a bed count per room ("2 beds") without bed types.
You cannot delete a PMS room from Haven. Unlink photo group keeps the room and its beds; the public card then uses a placeholder photo until you pick another group.
On Edit listing, the Sleeping arrangements card (near Amenities) lists every sleepable room with its thumbnail, name, and beds.
- Use the Photo group picker to attach or clear a group. Each group can illustrate only one room.
- For a Haven-created room, Edit opens the same beds-and-type dialog as Photos.
- If there are no sleeping spaces yet, the empty state points you to Photos → Add to Where you'll sleep.
- Rename the photo group to rename the public card (for example "Master Bedroom" or "Bunk room").
- Tag every photo that belongs in that room with the same group so the card's photo is one of those shots.
- Re-tag with AI in Photos can propose groups. It does not create rooms or invent beds. After tagging, add each bedroom group to Where you'll sleep (or relink a PMS room).
- If you merge two groups that were each linked to a room, one room can lose its photo. Relink it from the group menu or the Sleeping arrangements picker.
A completion reminder, Add photos to your sleeping spaces, appears when a room in Where you'll sleep has no photo group (or the group has no photos).
- It does not change amenity bedroom/bed counts.
- It does not create bookable inventory. One property still books as one stay. For interchangeable hotel rooms, see Room Types.
- It does not guess beds from a photo, even when AI tags the photo as a bedroom.
- It does not overwrite a link you set by hand when AI re-tags photos.
