Settings → Account & Profile → Account → Guest communications is the account-wide gate for automated messages Haven sends to guests.
Open it from /host?tab=account-security&accountSub=account#guest-communications.
These switches sit on top of each editor. A message sends only when both this page and the editor allow it. Listing guidebook toggles, flow step switches, and PMS push settings are unchanged.
Each row has an Open editor link to the place you write that message.
New hosts start paused, with every switch off. Existing hosts are set to unpaused, all on, so today's per-feature settings keep deciding what sends until you change a switch here.
Automated guest messages need a paid plan — including on Haven bookings. Inquiry replies, messages you send yourself, and test sends still go out. The section shows an Upgrade button and locks the switches.
When a type is paused, off, or needs a plan, the matching editor (Message automations, a flow, a campaign, a broadcast, guidebook auto-send, the reservation Door code card) shows a Turned off in Account settings notice with a link back here.
A broadcast you try to send while campaigns and broadcasts are off shows the reason instead of sending. A scheduled broadcast that comes due while they are off goes back to Draft.
