Co-hosts: Have the Owner Connect Their Airbnb
Airbnb shares a listing only with the Airbnb login that owns it. If you co-host, signing in with your own Airbnb brings in none of the listings you run. Instead, send the listing's owner a link: they sign in to their Airbnb once, with no Haven login, and their listings import into your Haven account, with calendar, prices and reservations, and keep syncing. You can also have guests who book direct pay the owner.
When to use
- You connected Airbnb and saw Airbnb returned no listings, because you are a co-host on those listings.
- You are about to connect Airbnb and the listings belong to someone else's Airbnb login.
- An owner's Airbnb that was connected this way stopped syncing and needs the owner to sign in again.
How to send the owner a link
- Open the link from wherever you meet Airbnb's owner-only rule:
- Onboarding or Add listing → Sync from Airbnb, when it says Airbnb returned no listings: Send the owner a link to connect Airbnb.
- Integrations → Airbnb: Co-host? Send the owner a link to connect their Airbnb, under Connect Airbnb.
- The You're connecting to Airbnb window before Airbnb's sign-in: I'm a co-host: send the owner a link instead.
- Enter the owner's first and last name, and their email (optional; leave it blank to text or message the link yourself).
- Optional: turn on Guests who book direct pay {name}. After connecting Airbnb, the owner creates a login, connects their own Stripe and gets an owner portal; this is the same owner invite as Payouts → Who gets paid → Invite an owner.
- Choose Send link (with an email) or Create link. The next screen shows the link with Copy link.
What the owner sees
The link opens a page in your name: "{you} asked you to connect your Airbnb". The owner clicks Connect my Airbnb, signs in to Airbnb through Hospitable Connect (Haven's official Airbnb partner) and approves. The page waits for Airbnb to confirm and shows a green check. If you turned on direct payouts, a second step, Set up payouts, opens their owner invite. Nothing on their Airbnb changes, and they can disconnect any time from their Airbnb account settings.
What happens on your side
- While the link waits, Integrations → Airbnb and the empty listings screen show Waiting for {name} to connect their Airbnb with Copy link, Resend email (when you gave an email) and Cancel link.
- When the owner connects, their listings import into your account on their own (auto-import is on), and Haven emails you.
- The Airbnb card reads {Airbnb account} · {name}'s account, so you know whose login it is.
- If that connection later needs reconnecting, only the owner can sign in to it: the card's reconnect button becomes Send {name} a reconnect link, filled in with their details.
Limits
- One Airbnb login per Haven account. The link works when your account's Airbnb connection is not set up yet, is not finished, or is connected with no listings in Haven. Sending replaces that empty connection with the owner's. If your own Airbnb login already brings listings into Haven, disconnect it first on Integrations → Airbnb, or paste each co-hosted listing's Airbnb link from Add listing → Import from URL (content only, no calendar sync).
- Only the newest link works: sending a new one cancels the one before it.
- An account that runs the Hospitable PMS cannot use this; Hospitable already includes your Airbnb.
- Cancelling the link does not cancel an owner invite sent with it. Cancel that on Payouts → Who gets paid.
- A Haven partner's clients connect Airbnb in their own account through the partner's signup page instead; see Partner Mode.
