The Direct Booking Website Audit reads the website you already have and tells you what it shows a guest, what it shows Google, and what it shows the AI assistants guests now ask for places to stay. It is free, needs no account, and takes about a minute. Paste your address at bookwithhaven.com/tools/direct-booking-audit.
It works for a CraftedStays site, a Wander site, a Lodgify, Squarespace, Wix or WordPress site, or anything custom. Paste the homepage, or the page of one home on a site with several.
For an Airbnb or Vrbo listing, use the Airbnb Listing Audit instead; a listing on a booking site is not a direct-booking website.
Haven loads your page the way a visitor's browser does, then the same page as each of the crawlers that decide where you appear: Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot (ChatGPT search), Claude-SearchBot and PerplexityBot. It reads your robots.txt, your sitemap and your llms.txt, and runs one live Google search for your site's name. Nothing is estimated; every line of the report says what was found.
The page is read as the server sends it, without running its scripts. That is how the AI crawlers read it: a price, a review or a booking button that a script draws in later is not there for them, and the audit says so.
Direct booking is whether a guest who lands on the page can book, and whether they trust the page enough to. A way to book on the site itself (not a button that sends them to Airbnb), live availability, a visible nightly price, guest reviews, a person to reach, a way to leave an email, a reason to come back, and policies they can read.
SEO is what Google sees: whether the page may be indexed, HTTPS, the search title and description, a main heading, enough text to match a search, a share image, photo descriptions, a mobile viewport, a canonical address, a sitemap, VacationRental structured data, a local guide and blog, and whether the site is on the first page of Google for its own name.
GEO (generative engine optimization) is what AI assistants see. Guests ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI Overviews for places to stay, and an assistant recommends only what it can read and verify: whether each AI search crawler got the page, whether robots.txt turns any of them away, llms.txt, facts published as structured data, guest questions answered as FAQ markup, and one name linked across your profiles.
The three scores are the same ideas the SEO hub scores on a Haven site (see SEO and Discoverability), so a score here means the same thing there. The SEO & GEO field guide explains each check and the sources behind it.
The report leads with the three scores and a ranked list of fixes, biggest effect on bookings first. Under Search and AI findability you can open every check with its finding, its points, what to do, and what a Haven site does there without being asked. The crawler table shows each crawler's result for your page.
What Haven adds sits above the fixes: a guest loyalty program, email that brings guests back, capturing the guests who book through Airbnb, and search and AI findability on autopilot. These are the things a plain website cannot do, whatever you fix on it.
While you read, Haven reads your whole site and builds the Haven version of it: the listing, its photos, its description, its local guide, and the pages your site has (About, FAQ, reviews, the area). The preview fills in on the right of the report. Claim the keys makes it yours: sign in, and the listing is on your account with the pages applied, ready to connect your channels, your Stripe account and your domain. Nothing is charged to claim it.
An unclaimed site is kept for 30 days from your last visit to the report.
