Guests can switch the currency they view prices in on your property site, at checkout, in the guidebook, and on their reservation and trips pages. This is a display-only convenience for international guests — the actual charge always stays in your property's currency, and your payouts are completely unaffected.
- A European guest browsing a US property wants to see roughly what the stay costs in euros
- A guest at checkout wants to sanity-check the total in their home currency before paying
- A guest reviewing a past reservation wants the receipt amounts in a familiar currency
- On your property site, guests click the currency pill (next to the language selector on desktop, or at the bottom of the menu on mobile).
- They pick a currency from the list — every price on the page converts immediately.
- Converted prices show a ≈ symbol (for example
≈ €1,234) to make clear they are approximate.
- The choice is remembered as the guest moves between your property page, checkout, and guidebook.
No host setup is required — the selector appears automatically on every property.
Guests can choose from the same currencies hosts can price properties in:
USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, CHF, MXN, SEK, NOK, DKK
Your property's own currency is always listed first and is the default view.
- Rates come from the European Central Bank and refresh once per business day.
- Converted amounts are approximations for the guest's convenience — they are rounded per line, so converted line items may differ from the converted total by a cent or two.
- If fresh rates are ever unavailable, prices simply show in your property's currency and the selector hides itself.
This feature never touches real money:
- The charge — guests are always charged in your property's currency. Checkout shows a clear note: "Prices shown in EUR are approximate. You will be charged in USD."
- The Stripe payment form — always shows the actual charge currency and amount.
- Your payouts — unchanged; settlement works exactly as before.
- Receipts, emails, and PDF documents — always in the real booking currency, since they are financial records.
- The guest's bank may apply its own conversion to the card's currency, at the bank's rate — same as any international purchase.
