When a guest writes from a property site, the guest portal, or a reply to one of your texts or emails, Haven can put that message on your phone — as a text, as a WhatsApp, or both. You choose the channels on Settings → Account → Notifications. Email still goes out either way.
Host Dashboard → Settings → Account → Notifications
(?tab=account-security&accountSub=notifications).
If the account has a phone number, it appears at the top of Alert numbers as Account phone — guest chats. Guest-message texts and WhatsApp use that number. A distinct WhatsApp number on the account, when one is stored, is the WhatsApp destination instead.
Verified alert numbers still receive the other operational texts (new booking, payout failed, and the rest). Guest chats go to those numbers too when New guest message is on.
Under Text me when → Messages:
Flip either switch off to stop that channel. Emails and the in-app Messages thread are unchanged.
The message quotes the start of what the guest wrote and links to the thread in Messages. Reply from Messages (or the reservation). A reply to the text or WhatsApp itself does not reach the guest — these alerts are one-way.
