Haven's Zapier app, Book With Haven, lets you connect Haven to the
thousands of other apps Zapier supports. A new booking can add a row to a
Google Sheet, a guest message can post to Slack, a cancellation can email your
cleaner, or an event in another calendar can block dates in Haven.
Triggers (start a Zap when something happens in Haven):
- New Reservation — a guest books, or requests to book, one of your
listings.
- Reservation Cancelled — a reservation on one of your listings is
cancelled.
- New Inquiry — a guest sends a new inquiry.
- New Guest Message — a guest writes to you in your Haven inbox.
Search:
- Find Reservation — looks up a reservation by its code and returns the
full details: price, guest email, party size, pets, and check-in and
check-out times. Add it after a trigger when you need more than the trigger
carries.
Actions (do something in Haven):
- Block Dates — blocks a date range on a listing so no guest can book it.
- Unblock Dates — removes a block you created, freeing the dates.
- In Zapier, create a Zap and search for Book With Haven as the trigger
or action app.
- Click Sign in. Zapier opens Haven's sign-in page.
- Sign in to Haven, read the consent screen, and click Allow access.
The consent screen lists exactly what Zapier will be able to read and change.
The connection covers every listing on the account, including listings you add
later. It then appears on your Connected apps page,
where you can disconnect it at any time.
- New Reservation covers bookings made on Haven. Reservations synced from
a property management system (OwnerRez, Guesty, Hospitable and others) do
not start it yet. A cancellation of a synced reservation does start
Reservation Cancelled.
- Message triggers cover your whole Haven inbox, including conversations
synced from a connected property management system.
- Block Dates is refused on a listing whose calendar a property management
system controls. Block the dates in that system instead; Haven will pick
the block up on its next sync. See
PMS Integrations Overview.
- Triggers are not instant. Zapier checks Haven for new activity every 1
to 15 minutes, depending on your Zapier plan.
- Guest names and email addresses reach Zapier only because the consent
screen asks for guest contact details. Guest phone numbers are never shared.
- Disconnecting is immediate, from
bookwithhaven.com/connected-apps. Your Zaps stop working
until you reconnect.
A trigger test finds nothing. Zapier needs a recent example. Make the event
happen first: create a booking on a Haven listing, cancel one, or send yourself
an inquiry. Then test again.
New Reservation never fires. Check whether your bookings come from a
property management system. Only bookings made on Haven start it today.
Block Dates fails with a message about the calendar being managed
elsewhere. A property management system owns that listing's calendar. Block
the dates there.
Zapier says the connection has expired. Reconnect from Zapier's My Apps
page. If you disconnected Zapier from Connected apps, you have to connect it
again.
