How we ranked these tools

Ten builders, ranked

Each entry says who the builder is for, what it costs, what it does well, and where it falls short. Competitor prices are as of October 2026, in the vendor’s own currency and tier names.

  1. 1. Book With Haven

Best forA free-to-build branded site on your own domain, 0% commission, no PMS required

Price. Free to build; you subscribe only when you publish. Haven’s founding-member rates are Starter $15/month with 1 property included, Growth $39/month with 10 properties included, and Pro $99/month with 50 properties included, or $9, $29, and $79 a month billed yearly. Each additional property is $3.99/month. No commission on any plan — standard Stripe processing fees only. A domain you already own connects free; the first domain bought through Haven is free for its first year, then $15/year.

Haven generates the site from your Airbnb listing or PMS in minutes, then it is yours to brand: logo, colors, photos, copy, pages, a blog and up to five languages, on a domain you already own or one bought through Haven. Checkout is built in, with Stripe payments, multi-jurisdiction taxes and signed rental agreements, and the calendar syncs natively with Hospitable, Guesty, Lodgify, Hostfully, OwnerRez and Track, or with any other PMS through Airbnb. A 100-point SEO and AI-search score with Google Search Console data and crawler checks for ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity tells you what to fix next, and the guidebook, AI guest chat, guest CRM and remarketing come with the plan.

What Haven is not: a design canvas or a property management system. There is no theme picker, no custom code and no agency building it for you, so a host who wants a bespoke layout should look at Boostly or a WordPress build; and there is no channel manager or unified inbox, so Lodgify, Hostfully or OwnerRez remain the choices when one subscription has to run operations too.

    See Haven plans and pricing
  2. 2. Lodgify

Best forThe widest template library, with channel manager and PMS in one subscription

Price. Priced per property per month billed annually: Basic $14, Starter $26, Professional $47 and Ultimate $68, with a 0% booking fee on every plan, as of October 2026; Starter is the first plan sold with the booking website. A 7-day free trial.

Lodgify is the best-known website builder in this category: four base templates with style variants, a booking engine, a channel manager with two-way sync to the major OTAs, and standard site content in roughly 25 guest-facing languages. For a host who wants the site, the calendar and the operations in one login, it is the most complete package here, and its builder and onboarding are well reviewed.

The trade-offs are the design ceiling and the cost structure. Styling is preset with no site-wide CSS, some system pages cannot be edited, and there is no native blog engine. Pricing is per property, so the bill grows with the portfolio, and the site only arrives on the Starter tier. Haven syncs natively with Lodgify, so some hosts keep it for operations and put Haven in front.

  3. 3. CraftedStays

Best forDesign-first conversion sites for hosts already on Hostaway, Guesty, Hospitable, OwnerRez or Hostfully

Price. Host plan $89.99/month for the first two properties plus $8/month per additional property (a limited-time $69.99 rate for the first 12 months), with the blog as the $30/month Marketing Hub and custom Institution pricing above 20 properties, all on top of a required PMS subscription, as of October 2026. Subscription-priced, with no booking commission of its own.

CraftedStays builds the best-looking sites on this list for hosts who already run a PMS: conversion-tuned, mobile-first templates with trust signals and map search, AI-search-ready schema on server-rendered pages, a live preview about 15 minutes after connecting, and Aria, an AI editor that writes pages in your brand voice and changes the site from a plain-language request. It was named 2025 STR Direct Booking Website Builder of the Year.

It requires one of five PMSs to operate, and the price sits on top of that subscription; the blog is a paid add-on, no multi-language support is advertised, and guest screening, taxes and the guest CRM stay with your PMS or third parties. Haven runs with any PMS or none and carries the same pipeline past the booking.

  4. 4. Boostly

Best forA custom WordPress site built for you, with coaching and a results guarantee

Price. Quote-based: a done-for-you program with a one-time setup fee advertised in the $3,000–$6,000 range plus about $97/month or $800/year, as of October 2026. Guests pay through your own Stripe account, and Boostly takes no commission.

Boostly is the done-for-you option: a team-built WordPress site with a dedicated project manager on a roughly 30-day timeline, live coaching, the Boostly Academy, a large host community, real-time sync with 27+ PMS platforms, and a direct-bookings guarantee — a full refund plus $1,000 if 65% of bookings are not direct within 12 months, subject to its terms. Because it is WordPress, the design ceiling is as high as the brief.

You trade speed, price and control for the hand-holding: design changes go through the team, the site shows the add-ons configured in your PMS booking engine rather than a catalog of its own, and no guidebook, screening or tax tooling is documented. A host who wants to publish this week on a flat plan is better served by a self-serve builder.

  5. 5. Hostfully

Best forA white-label site included with a full PMS, for boutique property managers

Price. Priced per property per month plus a platform fee: Growth from about $15 per property and Pro about $25, with Enterprise on custom pricing, as of October 2026. Growth adds a 0.85% direct-booking fee and a 1% payment-gateway fee; Pro and Enterprise are commission-free. No free trial — onboarding is demo-led.

Hostfully pairs a full property management system — real-time sync across 60+ channels, automations, team roles — with a white-label direct booking website on your own domain, included with the platform rather than sold as an add-on. On Pro and Enterprise, direct bookings carry no commission at all, and a separate Digital Guidebooks product adds an in-stay upsell marketplace.

It is demo-led rather than self-serve, with no free trial, and the site is one module inside a larger per-property system: a white-label template with search-engine basics and, on the Premium Direct Booking Site, a blog with an AI-drafted starting post; no SEO and AI-search scorecard is documented. Haven syncs natively with Hostfully for managers who want its PMS behind a different front door.

Read the full comparison: Haven vs Hostfully
  6. 6. OwnerRez

Best forTemplate Hosted Websites or a WordPress plugin on top of a no-fee PMS, for power users

Price. $40/month for the first property on a sliding per-property scale, with Hosted Websites billed as a premium feature from $15/month for the first property and $5 for the second, as of October 2026. No commissions, guest fees or per-booking fees. A 14-day free trial.

OwnerRez gives you two ways to a site: template-based Hosted Websites on your own domain, or a WordPress plugin that drops its booking engine into a site you design yourself. Both sit on the owner-operator’s PMS — triggers, rental agreements, a channel manager, owner tools — with no commissions, guest fees or per-booking fees anywhere, which is rarer than it should be.

The website is the least developed part of the package and a premium feature on top of the subscription; guidebooks, in-stay upsells and screening arrive through integrations, and no SEO scorecard or automated blog is documented. Haven connects to OwnerRez natively, so the common pattern is OwnerRez underneath and Haven as the guest-facing site.

Read the full comparison: Haven vs OwnerRez
  7. 7. Hostaway

Best forA Booking Website included with a quote-priced PMS, for 10-to-50-property teams

Price. A quote-based PMS, priced by listing count, channels, add-ons and contract length, with no public price list as of October 2026. The Booking Website is included; Booking Website Pro is $49/month per published site plus a 0.5% reservation fee; and reservations through the booking engine on US listings using Stripe carry a 1.8% Booking Engine Fee, which the host can pass to the guest or absorb.

Hostaway is the property manager’s PMS — channel manager, unified inbox, automations, task management, reporting — with a direct booking website and a Google Vacation Rentals connection included in the subscription. The site uses templates built for vacation rentals with custom branding, and Booking Website Pro adds an AI content assistant and a built-in blog.

The website has no separate subscription, but the bookings do: a 1.8% Booking Engine Fee on US Stripe reservations, plus 0.5% on Pro, is a slice of the commission you left the OTAs to avoid. Pricing is quote-based, and the site is a module of a system aimed at teams rather than a single host. Hostaway hosts connect to Haven through Airbnb to run a commission-free site alongside.

  8. 8. Guesty

Best forA free one-page site, or a customizable Advanced Website, inside Guesty

Price. Requires a Guesty subscription priced per listing — Guesty Lite from about $9 per listing per month on a pay-as-you-grow plan that adds 1% per reservation, with Pro quoted. The booking engine is free, a one-page Basic Website on a Guesty subdomain is free, a custom domain is $15/month, and the Advanced Website is $49 per site per month plus 0.5% of direct gross booking volume, as of October 2026.

For operators already on Guesty — 60+ channels, a unified inbox, owner portals, revenue management, trust accounting — the booking engine costs nothing extra, the one-page Basic Website is free, and the Advanced Website adds multi-page sites, several languages, a blog and advanced SEO settings. The Guest App with guidebooks and the lead CRM on Guesty Pro are genuinely strong.

Everything sits behind a per-listing subscription, the free site is a single page on a Guesty subdomain, a custom domain is a monthly charge, and the customizable site takes a slice of direct booking volume as that channel grows. Haven’s native Guesty connector is the usual way to keep Guesty for operations and run a commission-free site in front of it.

Read the full comparison: Haven vs Guesty
  9. 9. Hospitable Direct

Best forA booking site inside Hospitable, for hosts who keep its messaging automation

Price. Included with Hospitable’s Professional ($59/month) and Mogul ($99/month) plans and not sold standalone, as of October 2026. Direct Premium — the default in the US, UK and Australia, with Hospitable as merchant of record — takes 4% from the guest plus 3% from the host per booking, or 7% host-only; Direct Basic is a 1% host fee through your own Stripe account.

Hospitable’s messaging automation and channel management are about as good as the category gets, and Direct adds a booking site to that platform: a homepage and property pages with theme-and-preset customization, four AI-translated languages, and, on Direct Premium, bundled payment processing, tax handling, guest verification, chargeback protection and damage coverage with Hospitable as merchant of record.

The per-booking fee is the catch — seven percent of a direct booking on Premium is a meaningful share of what you left the OTAs to avoid — and the site itself is a fixed structure: third-party reviews note limits on fonts, layouts and deeper customization, there is no blog, and guests cannot switch language themselves. Haven connects natively to Hospitable, so the automation can stay while a 0% commission site runs beside it.

  10. 10. Houfy

Best forThe cheapest commission-free option, with an AI prompt-to-site builder on Premium

Price. A free marketplace listing with a one-time $5.99 host verification fee; Lite $7.99 and Premium $11.99 per listing per month billed yearly ($9.99 and $14.99 monthly), as of October 2026. 0% commission on standard listings, though a 5% guest API fee can apply to bookings routed through its PMS and API connections. The website builder, custom domains and the AI prompt-to-site builder are on Premium.

Houfy is a commission-free listing marketplace with a long-running host community, guests paying straight into your own Stripe, Square or PayPal account, and, on the Premium tier, a website builder with custom domains and an AI prompt-to-site builder that drafts a site from a description. At a few dollars a month per listing it is the cheapest way on this page to put a bookable site on your own domain.

It is a marketplace first and a website second: the builder is a paid tier, no multi-language support or CRM is documented, tax tooling is absent, and public reviews are mixed on the interface. Third-party reviews describe the marketplace’s own traffic as modest, so hosts still market their listings. A good first step away from the OTAs rather than a brand of your own.

The do-it-yourself route: WordPress, Wix and Squarespace

Every list of direct booking website builders ends with the general-purpose builders, and for good reason: a WordPress site with a booking plugin, or a Wix or Squarespace site with a booking widget, is the cheapest site you can own outright. As of October 2026, Wix’s Light plan is about $17/month and Squarespace’s Basic plan $19/month, both billed yearly, and WordPress itself is free: you pay for hosting, a theme and a booking plugin, usually on a yearly license. You hold the domain, the files and every line of the design.

What you do not get is the booking layer. A general builder has no concept of a nightly rate, a cleaning fee, a minimum stay or a rental agreement, so each arrives as a plugin or a widget with its own settings, updates and support, and the calendar syncs with Airbnb and Vrbo by iCal at best — a feed Airbnb refreshes about every three hours rather than in real time. Taxes, screening, guidebooks and guest marketing are more tools again. The site ends up as a brochure with a checkout bolted on, and every piece is yours to maintain.

It is the right route when you already run a content site and only need a widget, or when you have a developer on retainer and a design brief no template will satisfy. For most hosts, a purpose-built builder with checkout and calendar sync included costs about the same per month and takes an afternoon instead of a project.

How we ranked

We scored each builder on six questions about the site itself: what it takes from each direct booking; whether it runs on its own, is itself the all-in-one, or needs a separate PMS; whether the site lives on your own domain and on what terms; how much of the design is yours to change; whether checkout and a channel-synced calendar are built in; and what it does for search, from structured data and a blog to the languages it can publish in. Commission and the PMS requirement carried the most weight, because they compound with every booking and every month. Design freedom counted even though Haven does not win it.

Competitor facts are the positions on our head-to-head pages, checked against each vendor’s public pricing and help pages in October 2026. Prices are quoted in the vendor’s own currency and tier names, and every competitor figure on this page names that month. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so rather than estimate. We take no payment for placement, run no affiliate links, and do not link out to competitors.

We build Haven. It is listed where our own criteria put it, and the places it loses are stated plainly: there is no theme picker or custom code, no done-for-you build, and no channel manager or unified inbox. If you need those, the builders that have them are ranked here with the reasons to choose them.

Direct booking website builders

Frequently asked questions

A tool that turns a vacation rental into a bookable website on your own domain: property pages with photos and amenities, a live calendar, pricing with fees and taxes, and a checkout that takes the payment, so a guest books with you instead of through Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com. Some are standalone, such as Book With Haven or Houfy; some are a module of a property management system, such as Lodgify, Hostfully, OwnerRez, Hostaway, Guesty or Hospitable; and some are done-for-you builds on WordPress, such as Boostly. “Direct booking site builder” means the same thing.

For most independent hosts and small managers, Book With Haven: it is free to build, publishes on your own domain, charges 0% commission on every plan, needs no PMS, and includes the SEO and AI-search scorecard, guidebook, AI guest chat and guest CRM that other builders leave to add-ons. Lodgify is the pick when you want the widest template library with the PMS and channel manager in one subscription; CraftedStays when you already run one of its five supported PMSs and want the best-looking site; Boostly when you want a custom WordPress site built for you with coaching; Hostfully, OwnerRez, Hostaway, Guesty or Hospitable Direct when you already run that PMS and want the site inside it; and Houfy when cost matters more than brand.

Book With Haven is free to build, and you subscribe only when you publish. Haven’s founding-member rates are Starter $15/month with 1 property included, Growth $39/month with 10 properties included, and Pro $99/month with 50 properties included, or $9, $29, and $79 a month billed yearly. Each additional property is $3.99/month. Haven takes no commission on bookings. Elsewhere, as of October 2026: Lodgify’s Starter plan, the first with the booking website, is $26 per property per month billed annually; CraftedStays is $89.99/month for the first two properties on top of a required PMS; Boostly quotes a setup fee advertised at $3,000–$6,000 plus about $97/month; Hostfully runs about $15–$25 per property per month plus a platform fee; OwnerRez is $40/month for the first property plus $15/month for a hosted website; Hostaway is quote-priced, with Booking Website Pro at $49/month plus 0.5%; Guesty’s Advanced Website is $49/month plus 0.5% of direct volume on top of a per-listing subscription; Hospitable Direct comes with the Professional ($59/month) and Mogul ($99/month) plans and takes 1% to 7% of each direct booking; and Houfy’s Premium tier with the website builder is $11.99 per listing per month billed yearly. A Wix or Squarespace site starts at about $17 to $19 per month before any booking widget.

Yes. Book With Haven runs on its own — it imports your listing from Airbnb or a PMS and syncs the calendar either way — and Houfy takes bookings from a marketplace listing with no PMS at all. Lodgify is itself the all-in-one, so nothing else is required. CraftedStays and Boostly need the PMS you already run, and Hostfully, OwnerRez, Hostaway, Guesty and Hospitable Direct are sold only inside their own PMS subscriptions. A PMS earns its keep once you list on several OTAs and need one calendar, one inbox and one set of automations; adding a booking site should not force that decision.

On every plan, as of October 2026: Book With Haven, Lodgify, Boostly and OwnerRez, and Houfy on standard listings (a 5% guest API fee can apply to bookings routed through its PMS connections). CraftedStays is subscription-priced with no commission of its own, on top of your PMS. On some tiers: Hostfully is 0% on Pro and Enterprise but adds 0.85% plus a 1% gateway fee on Growth, and Guesty’s Basic Website is fee-free while the Advanced Website takes 0.5% of direct volume. Hostaway charges a 1.8% Booking Engine Fee on US Stripe bookings, and Hospitable Direct charges 1% to 7% on every direct booking. Card processing fees apply everywhere.

Ask every vendor two questions before you sign: whose name is on the domain registration, and what you can export. With Book With Haven, a domain you already own connects free and stays registered to you, a domain bought through Haven is free for its first year and then $15/year, and your bookings, guests, payments and tax lines download as CSV reports. A PMS-bundled site generally ends with the subscription, a done-for-you WordPress build is yours when it sits on hosting and a domain in your name, and a Wix or Squarespace site is yours for as long as you pay for the plan.

Only if you already run a site there and just need a booking widget, or you have a designer and a brief no template will satisfy. As of October 2026 a Wix Light plan is about $17/month and a Squarespace Basic plan $19/month billed yearly, close to a purpose-built builder, but neither understands nightly rates, cleaning fees, minimum stays or rental agreements, so each arrives as a plugin or widget to configure and maintain, and the calendar syncs with Airbnb and Vrbo by iCal at best. A builder made for rentals includes the checkout, the calendar sync and usually the taxes.

We build Haven, so we ranked on criteria we published and said where Haven loses: it has no theme picker or custom code, no done-for-you build or coaching, and no channel manager or unified inbox. Competitor facts come from our head-to-head comparison pages and were checked against each vendor’s public pricing and help pages in October 2026; every competitor price names that month. No vendor paid for placement, and no link on this page goes to a competitor.
