Local Info
The links, phone numbers and local tips we hand every guest.

Plan around the weather and the leaves
Check the local weather before you pack, and in autumn follow the Smoky Mountain fall colors report and forecast for the week the ridges turn.
Snow is modest here: about two inches in January and two in February on average. Before January the ground is usually too warm for any to stick.

Dollywood and the Parkway
Plan your Dollywood or Splash Country day with the Dollywood schedule. For a quick feel of the two towns, watch these short films on Pigeon Forge attractions and Gatlinburg attractions.
Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies offers our guests a discount: on ripleysaquariumofthesmokies.com, choose your tickets, add them to the cart and enter promo code InTheClouds0616.

Hiking the Smokies
Hiking is the best way to see the park up close, and the entrance is under 15 miles from every one of our cabins. The Great Smoky Mountains hiking guide lists trails from easy strolls to all-day climbs, with current park information.

Groceries delivered before you arrive
Prefer to arrive to a stocked refrigerator? Smoky Mountain Grocery will shop for you and have everything put away before you walk in. There are also countless restaurants in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville for every appetite and occasion.

Honeysuckle pool and fishing pond
Guests at Smoky Mountain Splendor and Kiss the Clouds have admission to the seasonal outdoor pool at Honeysuckle Meadows and year-round access to its catch-and-release fishing pond, both included with the cabin. The pool is about 14 minutes down Wears Valley Road from Splendor and 3.5 miles from Kiss the Clouds. Nothin’ But Views and Our Smoky Mountain View use the Legacy Mountain Resort pool instead.

Coco’s Invitations at Legacy Mountain Resort
Sitting on top of the world with the resort’s famous view is Coco’s Invitations, a small, quaint eatery setting out to do big things: handmade burgers, personalized pizzas, sandwiches, desserts and full-course meals.
Open Memorial Day through Labor Day, Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 6 pm, closed Sunday and Monday. Hours shift with the weather and special events, so call (865) 773-4454 for daily lunch and dinner specials.

A personal chef at your cabin
Chef Jeremy will come and cook at your cabin for any size group, with staff for larger parties. Some dishes use the local moonshine, and he throws spices around while he cooks, so dinner doubles as the show. Reach him at 423-289-7099.

Tennis, wine on the lawn and the Chamber
Looking for a court? Try the Pigeon Forge parks and recreation areas, Mynatt Park in Gatlinburg, or the Pigeon Forge Community Center, the closest of the area’s community centers.
Every third Friday from 5 to 8:30 pm, Hillside Winery on Collier Drive in Sevierville hosts Wine on the Lawn: live music from a local band, cornhole and picnics on your own lawn chairs, free of charge. Call Jennifer at (865) 389-9490 for details.
The Greater Pigeon Forge Chamber of Commerce has a wealth of information for planning the rest of your days.
