The Guest Store lets you offer products, services, and local experiences directly on your Haven property pages. It's powered by The Host Co and is completely free to set up. Guests can browse and book add-ons right from your listing, and you earn a cut of every transaction.
What Is The Host Co?
The Host Co is a marketplace platform that connects vacation rental hosts with local service providers. When you connect your Haven property to a Host Co store, guests visiting your listing can discover and book:
- Local experiences — Guided tours, boat rentals, fishing charters, wine tastings
- Equipment rentals — Paddleboards, kayaks, bikes, ski gear
- Property add-ons — Late checkout, early check-in, extra cleaning, airport transfers
- Custom services — Anything you want to offer, like personal chef, grocery delivery, or spa treatments
- Local partner products — Nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions that pay a commission for referrals
You earn a commission on every booking made through your store. The Host Co handles payments, scheduling, and fulfillment.
Setting Up Your Guest Store
Step 1: Connect or Create a Host Co Account
- Go to your Host Dashboard and navigate to the Extras tab.
- Find the Guest Store card and expand it.
- Click Create Account to create a new Host Co account linked to your Haven email, or Connect Existing Account if you already have one.
- The connection happens instantly — no approval process.
Step 2: Create a Store for Your Property
- Open a property in the Listing Editor.
- Scroll to the Guest Store section in the Your Site tab.
- If you have an existing Host Co store, select it from the dropdown and link it to the property.
- To create a new store, click Create Store, give it a name, and it will be linked automatically.
Step 3: Add Products and Services
- Products and services are managed in your Host Co dashboard at thehost.co.
- Add your own services (e.g., paddleboard rentals, late checkout) or browse local partner offerings.
- Set pricing, availability, and descriptions.
- Products sync automatically to your Haven listing.
Step 4: Manage Visibility
In the Listing Editor Guest Store section, you can:
- Show or hide individual products on your Haven listing page.
- Sync store data to pull the latest products from Host Co.
- Switch stores if you have multiple stores for different properties.
How Guests See Your Store
When a guest visits your Haven property page, they see a dedicated Guest Store section with product cards. Each card shows the product name, description, and a link to book or purchase through The Host Co. The store section is only visible when you have products linked to the property.
Revenue and Commissions
- You earn a commission on every product or service booked through your store.
- Commission rates vary by product type and are set by The Host Co.
- Earnings are tracked in your Host Co dashboard.
- Payouts are handled directly by The Host Co.
Managing Your Store from the Dashboard
You can also manage your Guest Store connection from the Host Dashboard:
- Go to Host Dashboard > Extras tab.
- Expand the Guest Store card.
- Here you can see your connection status, linked stores, and manage account settings.
Tips for Success
- Curate relevant products — Only show products that match your property's location and guest demographic.
- Offer your own services — If you have equipment, vehicles, or experiences to offer, list them directly.
- Keep products updated — Seasonal activities should be enabled/disabled as appropriate.
- Mention the store in your welcome materials — Let guests know about available add-ons in your check-in instructions or during-stay info.
