This spot was a true oasis in the desert. The house itself was clean and cozy, and the outside area was conveniently laid out, lit, and thoughfully designed. We enjoyed stargazing by the fire pit and in the hot tub, and we took advantage of the stocked kitchen and grill to cook up some tasty meals. The house was also within a half hour of many trails in the national park. It was really a perfect retreat!

We absolutely loved The Outside Inn! Lulu was a tremendous joy to work with, as we extended our stay several times, and felt greatly accommodated throughout our entire trip. Sunrises and sunsets galore! Lulu provides outstanding hospitality — we found our "forever Joshua Tree vacation home!"

Great experience here. Was a great getaway for my partner’s birthday. Private and peaceful. Place was clean and well maintained. Lots of different places to sit outside. We enjoyed the hot tub the most and were able to see so many stars. We went both and night and got up early to watch the sun rise. I purposely wanted a remote place out in the desert. This location was perfect for that as it is around 20-25 minutes outside of town and has a short 3/4 mile drive or so on bumpy dirt roads so just be aware. We mostly ate out but if you cook there just know there is no microwave but does have a stove oven and bbq grill. The only negative is I found the bed to be a bit too firm for my liking. Nothing extreme though. Also appreciated the book of restaurant recommendations. We really enjoyed BBQ at Pappy and Harriet’s and had a nice dinner at The Copper Room.

Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Remote, peaceful and quiet location. Once we arrived we felt right at home and didn’t want to get back out for dinner. Comfy bedding and loved all the outdoor space!
