I created Sanctuary Found while working with hospitality properties to help them become more restorative, meaningful and aligned with the people they are here to serve. Usually the potential is already in the place — in the land, the building, the founder’s original instinct — and what is missing is the sequencing, the environmental detail, and the language to say what it is.

What I look for

The standard is the same at every scale

It applies to a three-room bed and breakfast and a forty-acre retreat center equally: is the land cared for rather than conquered, does hospitality begin with the kitchen garden, does the building support the nervous system, and is nothing demanded of the guest?
