Up the hill
From Ian Fleming International (Boscobel)
The closest airport, less than half an hour east. Taxis and Posh Paths' drivers meet arrivals outside the terminal; the road west along the coast runs through Tower Isle and into Ocho Rios, then up the hill to the gate.
From Sangster International (Montego Bay)
About an hour and three quarters west on the North Coast Highway (the A1), past Falmouth, Discovery Bay and Runaway Bay. Book a transfer with Posh Paths before you land: the fare is fixed, the driver knows the hill, and you will not be bargaining in the arrivals hall.
From Kingston
About two hours over the mountains on the A3 through Fern Gully, the tree-fern canopy road that drops you into Ocho Rios.
The hill
Columbus Heights is on a winding hill. We recommend local transport if you plan to arrive with baggage or groceries; Posh Paths can connect you with our preferred drivers, and route taxis wait at the bottom of the hill in town.
Getting around
Everything in town is a short walk down. For Dunn's River, the Blue Hole, Oracabessa and anything beyond, take a taxi or book a driver for the day; the longer trips are easiest by road with someone who knows it.
