Haven uses a scheduled payout model: when a guest pays, the money lands in your Stripe Connect balance right away, but Haven controls when it moves to your linked bank account. This mirrors the industry-standard guest-protection schedule (similar to Airbnb) — funds stay in Stripe until the stay is underway, so cancellations and refunds can be handled without anyone coming up short.
Open Host Dashboard → Payouts & Accounting → Payouts (the first sub-tab). Once Stripe is connected and verified, you'll see:
Use Stripe Dashboard on the same page to drill into individual charges, fees, and payout history inside Stripe Express.
There are two separate steps — don't confuse them:
| Step | What happens | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Connect balance | Guest pays → Stripe transfers your share to your Stripe Connect balance | Immediate transfer; may show as Pending for 1–2 business days before Available |
| 2. Bank deposit | Haven initiates a payout from your Connect balance to your bank | 24 hours after the guest's check-in date (default for standard bookings) |
After Haven initiates a bank payout, Stripe usually deposits it to your linked account in 1–2 additional business days.
Every confirmed direct booking gets a scheduled release at check-in + 24 hours. Haven checks for eligible releases every 15 minutes and batches them — you receive one lump payout per release cycle covering all bookings that share the same release window, not one separate bank transfer per reservation.
When a booking is cancelled:
If you capture all or part of a security deposit after checkout, that amount is scheduled for release as soon as Stripe marks it available on your Connect balance (typically 1–2 business days after capture). It appears in Scheduled payouts with today's date until it pays out. Deposit payouts are separate from the booking payout and are not cancelled if the booking itself is later refunded — only the booking row is affected.
Scheduled payout amounts are gross — the booking total Haven will request from Stripe for that release date, before Stripe's card processing fee.
Stripe deducts its processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30 per booking) from your Connect balance separately. The number in Scheduled payouts matches what Haven requests; your bank deposit will be slightly lower after Stripe's fee. You can see the exact fee per charge in your Stripe Express dashboard.
If you use guest-paid Screen & Protect, Haven's application fee is already excluded from the scheduled amount — only your net share of the booking is scheduled.
The hold gives Haven a window to process cancellations and refunds while the money is still on your Stripe balance, before it is sent to your bank. Once the guest has checked in and the 24-hour window passes, the stay is treated as underway and the payout is eligible for release.
Stripe connected accounts are on manual payout schedule — Stripe will not auto-pay your bank on its own. Haven's release process is the only thing that triggers bank deposits for booking revenue.
Most delays fall into one of these buckets:
If a payout stays blocked for more than a few hours after its release date, open your Stripe dashboard from the Payouts tab and confirm your bank account is verified. Contact Haven support if the issue persists.
