Professional Email on Your Domain

Once Haven manages a domain for you (e.g. weslacoelements.com), you can put real, professional email on it — you@yourdomain.com instead of a generic Gmail address. Haven configures all the technical DNS for you, so there's nothing to wrestle with.

There are two kinds of email address in Host Dashboard → Settings → Domains & Email. A domain can use mailboxes or forwarding, not both, because each needs control of the domain's mail-routing records.

Mailbox — a real inbox you send and receive from ($5/month)

A mailbox is a genuine inbox at your domain. You can send, reply, and receive natively — recipients see you@yourdomain.com in the "from" line, not a Gmail address. This is the right choice for the address you actually do business from.

Free for 60 days, then $5/month per mailbox — kept on any paid Haven plan. Hosts on the free tier can create a mailbox and use it fully during the 60-day trial; to keep it after that, start any paid plan and the $5/month is added to your subscription. If the trial ends without a paid plan, the mailbox is paused and then removed a few days later.
Haven configures everything: the MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are set up automatically on the domain Haven manages for you. There is nothing technical to do.
You choose your own password right when you create the mailbox (or Haven generates one for a mailbox claimed during onboarding). Haven protects it with encryption and uses it only for mailbox features you request, such as retrieving a Gmail confirmation email.
Send + receive: read and reply from webmail, or connect the mailbox to any email app over IMAP/SMTP.

Add a mailbox

Go to Host Dashboard → Settings → Domains & Email and open the Email tab.
Pick the domain you want (any domain Haven manages for you that's live).
Choose Create a mailbox — $5/mo, type the part before the @ (e.g. hello or your name), choose a password, and confirm.
Your mailbox is live immediately. If you're on a paid plan, the $5/month is added to your subscription right away; on the free tier it's free for 60 days (start any paid plan before then to keep it). Use your mailbox in Gmail or any email app

After creating a mailbox, click Setup guide next to it any time to see a walkthrough for Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, or any other app — with the exact values to copy:

In Gmail specifically: open Settings → See all settings → Accounts and Import, then add the address under Send mail as using the SMTP values above. Gmail sends a confirmation email to your professional address and shows a yellow confirmation window. Return to Haven's Setup guide and choose Find my confirmation email. Haven retrieves Google's secure link from your mailbox; choose Confirm in Gmail to finish without opening Migadu webmail.

If Gmail still offers Check mail from other accounts on your account, you can separately add the address there using POP3 (pop.migadu.com, port 995, SSL) to receive mail inside Gmail. This is optional and is not required for Haven to retrieve the confirmation.

Remove a mailbox

From the same Email tab, click the remove (trash) icon next to the mailbox. Haven deletes the inbox and updates your billing immediately — when you remove your last mailbox, the email subscription is canceled automatically.

Forwarding — free, receive-only

A forwarding address simply forwards mail sent to you@yourdomain.com into an inbox you already own (like your personal Gmail). It's free and great for a "catch-all" or contact address you don't need to send replies from.

Forwarding is receive-only. Replies you send still come from your personal inbox, not your domain. If you want replies to come from your domain, create a mailbox instead.

To add forwarding, choose Forward to my inbox — free in the Email tab, enter the address and the inbox to forward to, and confirm the verification email Haven sends to that inbox.

Requirements

The domain must be one Haven manages for you (registered through Haven and live). Mailboxes and forwarding both rely on Haven controlling the domain's DNS — that's how setup is zero-touch.
Domains you own at another registrar (BYO): mailboxes are supported here too, with a guided setup — Haven creates the inbox and shows you the exact DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to add at your registrar, then verifies them. The mailbox goes live and billing starts only once the records resolve. Free forwarding is available on Haven-managed domains.
