Haven gives hosts one self-serve way to take a property out of service — archive. Archive stops bookings, removes the property from public Sites, and removes it from your monthly billing. Hard delete is rare and is performed by Haven support.
If you arrived here looking for how to "delete a property", archive is almost always what you want. It's reversible, instant, and stops billing immediately.
Archive a property when:
Archive is fully reversible — you can unarchive at any time and the property comes back with all its data intact.
| Effect | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Public Single Property Site | Hidden from the public web |
| Multi-Unit Sites that include this property | This property is removed from the multi-unit booking flow |
| New bookings | Disabled |
| Existing confirmed reservations | Untouched — guests still have access to their stay |
| Calendar / pricing / photos / amenities | Preserved exactly as they were |
| Monthly billing add-on for this property | Removed immediately, prorated credit on next invoice |
| Counts toward your plan's included properties | No |
| PMS sync (if synced) | See "PMS-synced properties" below |
/host?tab=listings).Archived properties are still in your account; you just need to switch the list view to show them.
If a property is synced to a PMS (Hospitable today; Lodgify / Guesty / Hostfully / Hostaway coming), it cannot be archived directly from Haven. Synced properties are owned by the PMS — archiving them in Haven would just be re-created on the next sync. Instead:
Once the property is no longer synced, you can archive it from Sites → Single Property normally. See PMS Integrations Overview and Hospitable for the PMS side.
See Subscription Billing, Multi-Property Billing, and Understanding Pricing for the full billing model.
If you just want to remove a property from one specific Multi-Unit Site but keep it active on its own Single Property Site:
The property remains active, billable, and bookable on its own Single Property Site. See Managing Multi-Unit Sites.
A hard delete permanently removes the property record, photos, and history from Haven. This is rarely the right answer because:
Hard delete is not exposed in the host dashboard. If you genuinely need a property permanently removed (e.g. for a privacy or legal request), contact Haven support from the help center with the property code and the reason. Support can perform the hard delete on your behalf.
| Goal | Use |
|---|---|
| Stop billing + stop bookings, keep the option to bring it back | Archive |
| Take a synced PMS property out of Haven | Delete in PMS, then archive |
| Remove from a Multi-Unit Site but keep elsewhere | Edit the Multi-Unit Site, remove this property as a member |
| Permanently destroy the record (rare) | Contact support for a hard delete |
