Dashboard Tour and Setup Checklist

Haven gives new hosts two complementary nudges that orient you and tell you exactly what's still blocking bookings:

The Dashboard Tour — a one-time interactive walkthrough that runs on your first visit.
The Setup Checklist — a persistent side sheet that surfaces the things you still need to do (Stripe, plan, incomplete listings).

Both exist so you never have to guess what "ready to take bookings" means.

Dashboard Tour

The Dashboard Tour is a 7-step modal that opens automatically the first time you reach your Host Dashboard. It's a quick orientation — about 60 seconds — covering the layout, the major tabs, and the key features by name.

The 7 steps

Your dashboard at a glance — the Overview tab, priority tasks, and the multi-property schedule.
Manage your listings — Sites → Single Property, Sites → Multi-Unit, Create Listing, Create Multi-Unit Site.
Engage your guests — Guest Loyalty, Emails, and the guest portal app.
Printables, store & integrations — Documents, Guest Store, and PMS Integrations.
Turn your listing into a brand — custom URLs, custom domains, public profile.
Track your performance — the Stats tab.
Settings & resources — Settings (Billing, Domains, Damage Protection, Public Profile), Refer & Earn.

Re-opening the tour

The tour is marked as "seen" once you finish or dismiss it. If you want to see it again later, open the Ask Assistant chat in the header and ask "Show me the dashboard tour" — the chat can re-trigger it for you.

Setup Checklist (side sheet)

The Setup Checklist is the persistent companion to the tour. It does not auto-dismiss; it stays present until everything inside it is green. You'll see it as:

A status pill in the Host Dashboard header / sidebar ("Setup", with a count of outstanding items), and
A side sheet when you open it, listing each outstanding item with a direct action.

What it tracks

Each row is a one-click jump to the screen that resolves it (Stripe Connect onboarding, the inline plan picker, or the listing's Visibility section).

When the checklist disappears

The checklist closes automatically once every item is complete. From that point forward, the slot is reused only if a new gap appears — for example, if you add a new property and haven't finished setting it up yet, that listing reappears in the Incomplete listings section until its bookability checklist is fully green.

Priority Tasks (Overview tab)

Separate from the Setup Checklist, the Overview tab has a Priority Tasks column on the left. These are operational tasks tied to bookings, not setup:

Create your first property — when you have no listings yet
Complete setup for a property — when a listing exists but isn't bookable yet
Accept or reject pending bookings — when guests have requested reservations
Complete setup for additional properties — when some are ready and others aren't
