Add great photos

This is for any host setting up a property, and it may be the highest-return step in this whole series. Photos sell a stay more than anything else on the page. The goal here is a gallery that looks credible and professional, led by a strong cover image. You do not need to be a photographer, you just need your space to look its best.

Upload your photos

Open the property and go to Edit Listing → Photos & Video.
Upload your photos. You can add several at once.
Once they are in, drag to reorder them.

Remember that Edit Listing autosaves, so your uploads and order changes save as you go.

Pick a strong cover image

Your first photo is your cover, and it is the one that does the most work. It shows up first on your site and is often the deciding glance for a guest. Choose your single best, brightest, most inviting shot and put it first. Lead with the view, the pool, the living space, or whatever makes your place special, not a closet or a parking spot.

Order the rest to tell a story

After the cover, arrange your photos the way you would walk a guest through the place: the main living space, the kitchen, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, then outdoor areas and any standout features. A logical flow helps guests picture themselves there.

Check the mobile view

Most guests browse on their phones, so confirm your gallery looks good on a small screen. Use the mobile preview to see what they will see, and reorder if your cover image gets cropped awkwardly.

A practical bar to aim for

Clean, bright, level, and uncluttered beats fancy every time. Open the blinds, turn on the lights, tidy up, and shoot during the day. If you want professional shots down the road, Haven photography can help, but it is not required to go live.

You can also add a short cover video if you have one, which plays at the top of your site. It is optional, so skip it if you do not.

Your gallery has enough photos to show the whole space, your single best shot leads as the cover, the order walks a guest through the property, and it all looks right on mobile.
