Sanctuary in the desert! My friend and I felt comfy in this spacious place with so many amenities and thoughtful touches (ie. candles, toiletries, clogs to wear outside, bath robes, record player, bath salts for the 2 indoor tubs, noise machines, even a hair dryer with a diffuser for us curly hair girls). The house smelled like a spa and was decorated so beautifully (got ideas on how to decorate my own place). Went in august and the 3 ac units cooled the place perfectly with 2 units in the living room strong enough to cool 2 bedrooms and 1 in the master. You only need to drive on a dirt road for 2 minutes to get to the house. There is only 1 neighbor you see from the front door and in the back of the house you see some trailers in the distance but overall a quiet area. Went specifically for the Perseid meteor shower but unfortunately was too overcast to see anything but still enjoyed the hot tub at night. Bring red lights! The suggestions in the binder were helpful. Would stay again!
My fiancé and I had a wonderful trip here! It's so quiet and private, and the home's layout is just perfect. So much natural light. Great sunset views and the great mountains the Mojave offers. Fantastic night-sky views, and the host is so friendly and communicative. It was magical, and it wouldn't have been complete without this property. Highly recommend for a nice romantic getaway. It's close enough to the national park for hiking and sightseeing, but far enough from the highway for complete silence. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect trip. The only thing I would say is the dirt road is a bit bumpier than anticipated, especially after the rain. A truck or SUV would work best for getting to the property; however, I was in a Honda Civic, and I still made it without issue. If you're thinking about booking this home, DO IT!!
Desert's Edge was an incredible experience! Getting there was easy enough, we arrived in a 2WD smaller truck and had zero problems. Everything was clean and ready for us to enjoy, bed was comfortable, just all around lovely stay. We enjoyed the cowboy pool to cool off and barbecued throughout the day, everything worked well and was very convenient. The bus is awesome along with the deck and loungers! The atmosphere was always so peaceful everywhere you could soak it in. The detached bathroom with tub was incredible! Plenty of towels available throughout. The ACs did a great job keeping us cool through the night and when we needed a reprieve from the elements. Really looking forward to booking here again!
Cannot say enough about how beautiful this place is. The pictures don't do it justice at all but what a property. Room to roam and explore, especially if you have kids, they'd love the property and the bus. Hot tub was great, got a nightly show from the military base each night LOL but we knew going in we'd be right up against their land. So quiet you can hear the crows flap their wings when they fly overhead. Such a healing place to recharge ♥️ You're really off the beaten path, so bring food and snacks to prevent yourself from going back and forth into town (about 25 minutes each way). My Honda Fit made it out there no problem but the final 3+ miles is dirt/sand roads that are very bumpy.
Immaculate. Zero notes. Inside: The house has a spacious open plan, it’s tastefully furnished throughout… modern yet rustic, very comfortable bedding, multiple bathrooms, fully functioning kitchen with all the utensils… everything you want when you’re out in the wild. Outside: Remote enough to be able to stargaze and see the milky way, yet close enough to town to be able to enjoy the restaurants and shops in JT…. cute little landscaped areas on the property to chill and enjoy the sunsets… i could go on… it was the best! Wonderful communicative host who really cares about their guests’ overall experience. We can’t wait to come back!
We will definitely be back! What a perfect little getaway. The house had everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was very clean. We loved the desert boho vibe and decor. Bed was very comfortable. Loved stargazing from the hot tub and sitting by the fire pit. It was secluded enough for it to be incredibly peaceful but just a short drive to town and the NP. We were warned that a neighborhood dog named Poppy might show up to greet us but we never saw them so it was a little disappointing, lol. Great atmosphere, great home and great rates. Thank you so much!!
We fell in love with this place! It was our second time in the desert and we came back for our anniversary. I absolutely loved the location of this house. It’s quiet and secluded but you still have easy access to the main roads. The decor and detail of every piece in the house is SO good and thought out. I need all of it! The shower has great water pressure (a must for me) and the linens were cloud like. I need those too. The pool and hot tub added so much to the comfort of our stay. I didn’t want to leave this place!!! It was perfect. Would most definitely stay again. Thank you!
If you’re looking for a secluded, intimate spot, look no further. My spouse and I traveled to the area to visit Joshua National Park and wanted a place where we were close enough to get groceries and have access to local restaurants but far away enough to take in the scenic views and feel like we were away from the hustle and bustle. This place hit the mark. The space was just big enough for the two of us and had everything we needed. Great layout & decor, plenty of space in the bathroom, and loved the outdoor amenities.
What a stunning place! Every single corner was decorated with intention and thoughtfulness. And style! Such a calming but eclectic vibe. Anything we could think of, they already had. Like above and beyond on the amenities. And the coffee/tea bar? I own multiple coffee shops and they had such a well stocked set up! Ground. Whole Beans. Espresso. Keurig. Drip and French press? It was beyond. My friends and I were in heaven and will be booking for our girls trip regularly. Highly recommend and will be back!
If you want privacy, gorgeous views, unobstructed sun/moon sets and rises this is the place for you! The place has everything you need to help pass some time at the end of your day. Piano/Projector/Record Player! And everything actually works! Thoughtful touches to make it feel like a home rather than a “typical” hotel. Although small but the most useful was the in depth binder they provided with tips about the Airbnb and helpful quirks about the area. 11/10 would stay again!
