Decent location, about 20 minutes drive from the beach and airport. Code boxes on the locks coded to our visit so we could all come/go as we please. We had 8 people staying there and was plenty of room to spend time together or split up a bit if needed. Bathrooms were nice, one had a jacuzzi tub! The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and things we would need, gas stove and double oven. Filtered water/ice from fridge with lots of room for food we shopped for. TVs in every room, lots of channels. The backyard was beautiful!! Hammock, pool, and lots of seating/table space outdoors. Grill and outdoor fireplace, had some lovely fires at night! Propane heaters also available for chilly nights. Very nice place to feel like home away from home. Beds were very comfortable and all sorts of flyers/brochures/travel tips for activities around San Diego. Loved this place! Host/property managers contacted us and made themselves available for any questions or concerns, made us reassured in case anything were to go wrong. They even checked in and made sure we found everything like the boogie boards, umbrellas and beach chairs for each room. Highly recommend!!
We had a wonderful stay! The home was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. One of the best highlights was that the house was equipped with just about every beach supply you could think of—from chairs and umbrellas to toys and other essentials. It made our beach days so much easier and was such a thoughtful bonus. Marty was an outstanding host—friendly, responsive, and genuinely thoughtful. Communication was easy from start to finish, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The location was convenient, the property was clean and well maintained, and the large backyard was perfect for enjoying time outside. Our three small dogs loved having the space too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this home to families or larger groups looking for a comfort place to stay. We would gladly book with Marty again!
Stayed at Marty’s for several nights. She was a very welcoming hostess. The room is clean and has a hotel vibe. Remote controlled fan/light, towels, fold down desk. My room had a great little private patio, but not all the rooms do. The bathroom is very nice. It’s shared between multiple people but I never had a situation where I needed to go and couldn’t access it, but maybe that was part luck haha. The living area is large. Big kitchen, dining room. Backyard area is great too and true to pics. Spacious. All my co-inhabitants were polite and friendly. The house was full but everyone was mindful of sound levels. Especially at night. Never had my sleep disturbed by someone being loud. It’s hard to find something more reasonably priced for the area.
Marty is AMAZING! She was super accommodating when it came to adjusting my check-in time. She was there ready to greet us and show us to our room, which she had a welcome sign on the door with our names on it. (So cute🥹) She had snacks and fruit readily available for tenants and got an extra rollaway ready while we were out. She’s super attentive to anything we needed and very friendly (i.e., During our stay it stormed reallyyy bad and Marty even left towels outside the front door for us when we came back from our excursions). On top of that, she even made breakfast for us two mornings in a row!! Overall, the house was spacious and well decorated! If I’m ever in SD, I would definitely stay here again:)
I had a wonderful stay at Marty’s place! The room was very clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. Marty was such a kind and welcoming host, she even waited up for me on my first night when I arrived late just to say hello, which I really appreciated. The location was perfect for my trip since I was helping my niece move into UCSD. It’s close to campus and also convenient for exploring La Jolla and the rest of San Diego. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay and would definitely give it 5/5. I’d happily stay here again whenever I’m back in San Diego. Thank you, Marty! 😊
My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend here and had a phenomenal stay! Our room was quiet, comfy, and cute. We were provided with beach towels, shower towels, our own TV, plenty of closet space, wifi, even a patio area! We were able to check out all kinds of beach supplies like chairs, disks, and umbrellas. Sara was so sweet and accommodating! She was fun to talk to as she's had an exciting life and she had excellent advice on things to do in the area. She provides breakfast and it just felt so home-y! We want to stay with her next time we're in San Diego!
The room we stayed in was great, it had its own bathroom and even had a loft area that my kid liked, Marty was very responsive even late at night when the room was a little warmer than we liked she did her best to adjust the AC in the house, she made the stay feel like home, she would have snacks and fruit out everyday and my son loved the backyard and popcorn maker. The bed was very comfy, even with other house guests it was never noisy. I would stay again or recommend to a friend.
Marty was an amazing host! She was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. She even had a binder full of local food recommendations, which was such a thoughtful touch and made finding places to eat really easy. She also went out of her way to ask if I wanted her to pick up dinner for me when she was heading out. Her kindness and hospitality made me feel right at home. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend staying with Marty!
I was here to prepare for an exam that was going to be taken about ten minutes from the Airbnb. From the get go Marty was exceptionally friendly and supportive! I usually don’t get to interact with hosts too much, but Marty really stood out to me who was attentive of her guests and wanted to make the experience pleasant. The room itself looked just like the pictures and had everything I needed. I hope to be back soon for a much more fun reason. 😆
