Halfway between the desert and the pines
Inn The Sky sits at 6,700 feet in High Rolls, a quiet mountain community along Highway 82 between Alamogordo and Cloudcroft. Look west and the Tularosa Basin spreads out below, with the white glow of the dunes on the horizon. Drive up the road and you're in cool pine forest. There's almost no traffic noise here, just clean mountain air, hummingbirds and wide-open sky.

A mountain for all seasons
Summers stay cool at this elevation, with afternoon clouds building over the peaks. Fall brings crisp air and orchard season in High Rolls. Winter can dust the ridges with snow, and Ski Cloudcroft is just up the road. When the warm months return, so do the hummingbirds, by the hundreds.
