Without a doubt, the name chosen by the host for this house could not have been more appropriate. The river is definitely one of the highlights of the property. Being able to sit on the deck, enjoy a coffee, listen to the sound of the water, and take in the surrounding nature is a true privilege and a wonderful way to disconnect from our busy lives. On hot days, being able to swim in the river is truly a relaxing and therapeutic experience. As for the host, Marcus was extremely attentive and thoughtful, always making sure everything was going well and that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The interior of the house is very cozy, with plenty of books and some lovely objects that bring back memories of earlier times and give the house a unique charm. I highly recommend this home for large families, groups of friends, and guests traveling with their pets. It was a wonderful experience and a truly peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature.
What a beautiful space! We used it as a little refuge from the city, a mini getaway where we could work surrounded by trees instead of buildings. We loved the decor and appreciated the attention to detail. Both inside and outside. It was so quiet and relaxing, and having both the wood-burning stove and the fireplace in the bedroom was such a cozy treat. As promised, the grounds were incredibly peaceful and is no doubt the kind of place that reminds you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature. We left feeling refreshed and would absolutely return. A big thank you to Marcus for giving us such a warm and memorable getaway. Highly recommend!
Had an amazing stay here! The river view was absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. The place is surrounded by beautiful nature, making it the perfect peaceful getaway from busy city life. Waking up to the sound of the river and enjoying the fresh air was truly relaxing. The property was clean, cozy, and very well maintained. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to enjoy nature and stunning views!
We were in AC for a concert at the borgata. We had a great stay at Marcus’ house. Nice and close to the boardwalk. We walked it down to the casinos each day. Ate at the local restaurants (Gilchrist and Kelsey’s). It’s pretty quiet this time of year in the area. Although the immediate neighborhood is nice, the surrounding areas are a little sketchy, though we didn’t have any issues. House was perfect for our group of 6. Thank you!
We had a magical stay in Barrett Township! The house was perfectly curated with beautiful, tasteful decor. The setting was lovely - hidden in the woods. The fall leaves made it even more special. Our favorite thing was the fireplaces in the house - we really enjoyed them in the cool evenings. Marcus was so helpful and responsive throughout our stay with any questions or recommendations. We hope to return again!
We really enjoyed our weekend away in this beautiful house! The house is in a beautiful and private wooded setting with walking trails a few steps from the house! The house is beautifully decorated, spotless and clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Would love to visit again in a different season! Spending my birthday weekend with a few girlfriends at serene sanctuary was exactly the kind of getaway we needed. Marcus was responsive and there were great and easy instructions. It really felt like home away from home! We ended taking a local hike that was recommended in the guidebook, it was the perfect escape. Would definitely come back !

This Airbnb stay was one of those weekends that fills your cup. Spending time by the creek, splashing in the water, laughing, relaxing, and making memories together reminded me how much joy there is in the simple moments. So thankful for this little 30th birthday getaway and all the memories made!!
Marcus was a great host! Very nice and friendly. The house was very clean and spacious, and has everything u need to feel at home. Great location just steps to the beach. It was a very enjoyable stay for my family. We will be back next year!
