Welcome to our little corner of the Outer Banks — a bright, spotlessly clean cottage in the heart of Avon, tucked into a quiet neighborhood. The beach is a 10-minute walk (or a 2 minute quick drive to the Avon pier with public lots), and the Avon Harbor by the sound is just 5 minutes walk — a favorite sunset spot. Restaurants, coffee, shops, and an arcade are all within easy walking or biking distance. EV drivers will appreciate the 12 Tesla Superchargers station at the Food Lion parking lot, about a mile from the house. Inside, you'll find everything labeled and ready so you can settle in without a scavenger hunt. The fully stocked kitchen has lots of gadgets, pots, and pans you need. Linens and towels are plentiful, and all bathrooms are stocked with full-size toiletries. The open floor plan has high ceilings that keep things feeling spacious, and there are board games, books, and activities for all ages. In the family room you’ll find a 55” TV where you can watch your favorite movies and shows using your own streaming accounts. Covered front porch to relax. Out back, the deck is peaceful and private — perfect for morning coffee or evening wind-down. The outdoor shower, with hot water, is a guest favorite, especially after a long beach day. Beach chairs are usually on the lower deck, and in-unit laundry means you can pack light. We're hands-on hosts who communicate proactively — including weather updates, local tips, and a curated guest book with our favorite beaches, restaurants, and things to do in the area. We want your trip to feel effortless from the moment you book. Whether you're coming with young kids, teenagers, grandparents, kiteboarders, or a group of friends, this home has hosted them all — and keeps welcoming them back. ==================================================================== Booking instructions How to book Please send us a booking request introducing yourself and letting us know who will be joining you. We welcome up to 6 guests total. Check-in & check-out During summer, check-in and check-out are Sundays only. The rest of the year, any day of the week works. Minimum stay: 3 nights (unless the calendar allows you to book less) If you're hoping to book fewer nights please send us a message — we're happy to work with you. Age requirement The primary guest must be at least 25 years old. This is a quiet, family-friendly home — no parties, please. Pets We love animals, but unfortunately no pets are permitted at this property. Important: Please note that this property has been granted an exemption by Airbnb from hosting service animals and emotional support animals. This exemption is on file with Airbnb and applies to this listing. We appreciate your understanding. The Outer Banks is a barrier island, and like any coastal destination it can be in the path of a storm from time to time. To protect your vacation investment, we'd strongly recommend looking into travel insurance before your trip. Allianz and Travelers are two well-known options, but we encourage you to do your own research and find the plan that works best for you. The home includes a fully separate upstairs apartment with its own entrance, where I occasionally stay. I work remotely during the day and hit the water for a kitesurf session when I wrap up — so you're unlikely to even notice I'm around. Your space and privacy are completely your own.
