Curl up by the fire in the cooler months and watch the weather roll in while listening to the sounds of the ocean, cook up a storm on the large wood-fired BBQ, and take in the stunning views at the 'Sunset Bar' on the adjoining deck. This seaside surfing and fishing spot has been a favourite in the family for generations, and now you can enjoy it too!

Million dollar views! Very cosy with the woodburner going and great to be able to take our dogs too.
The house is a piece of the host’s family history; you can really feel the love for family and for the sea. The view is incredible: it feels like sleeping on the waves! The apartment is very well organized and has everything you need. Equipped with all amenities, incredibly clean and practical. A beautiful terrace with a view. Thank you so much, my family and my dogs had a truly wonderful stay!
What a beautiful location! And definitely a couple of notches above a typical surf shack! This is a well loved beach home with all the amenities you could need, comfy beds and modern kitchen. Our old Labrador was in doggie heaven with the sunny balcony and regular walks on the beach. An amazing find. We’ll be back for sure.
10/10 Cannot say enough great things about this place. It’s better than we even imagined. The location is amazing. We went swimming in the water down the path in the morning. I will return! I would plan my next trip around the availability of this place. We tried to book another night after checking in bc we immediately fell in love, but it was occupied. It’s quirky and beautiful and felt like home. You must stay here! It’s not to far from Oamaru, but honestly, we never wanted to leave it. You could tell it was someone’s special home and we respected that and felt it. Can’t wait to come back someday!!!

This family Bach was built in the 80’s and has been a place for resting or having fun for several generations. Walking the beach, swimming, surfing or fishing off the rocks or just gazing over the beautiful coastal hills and ocean, listening to the plentiful bird song or the waves rolling through and crashing on the reef or the sandy beach. This is a place to mend your soul.
