Hi, I’m Kate. Home for me is Gloucester, Massachusetts, and I love boats and outdoor fires. When the cold comes, we come here. Cocoa Tea is our place in St. John: louvered windows open to the breeze, colour on every wall, a pool a few steps from the hanging daybed, and a private beach at the bottom of the hill.
We stocked it the way we like to travel, with snorkel gear for four and everything a beach day needs, so you can arrive with very little. Paddle boards and a truck can be arranged; just ask when you book. And if you would like a summer on the water, our other home is The Dock House in Gloucester.

Getting here
Coral Bay is the island’s East End: quieter than Cruz Bay, and about half an hour’s drive over the mountain from the ferry dock. Most guests fly into St. Thomas, take the ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay and collect a rental car there; four-wheel drive is the usual choice for the hills.
