Lako House is a large 3-bedroom ocean-view family home with 3056 sq ft/284 sq m living space. We have 14 beds: 2 king beds, 4 single beds, 4 trundles (8 single beds). Sleeping double in king beds give a max occupancy of 16 persons. 2 singles in the twin room can be combined into a double with a separate fee. Ohana manager unit on site is not available to rent. IMPORTANT: As of Jan 1 2026, Hawaii State/County vacation rental taxes is changing from 17.962% to 18.712% of hosted paid amounts.

Transportation
There are public buses covering the main highway and beach roads and taxis/Uber/Lyft are available but we HIGHLY recommend booking a rental car(s) for your stay on the Big Island. Lako House can accommodate up to 5 vehicles in its large driveway/carport area (see pictures). WARNING: ABSOLUTELY NO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES ALLOWED TO ENTER THE LAKO HOUSE DRIVEWAY. There is a $250 fine levied on guests for each time any unauthorized commercial vehicle enters the Lako House property driveway past the gate boundary.
