Expert guides will take you off the beaten path to explore the rugged beauty of Palo Duro Canyon, the second-largest canyon in the United States. Important: -From the canyon rim, the tour descends into Palo Duro, offering spectacular views of Palo Duro Canyon State Park and the iconic Lighthouse monument. 400 feet below the rim, you'll journey along the plateau and around Black Hawk Mesa's perimeter. -Stop to witness the power of water - through time - over solid rock at Legend Falls - Capture fantastic North/South views of the canyon from Yellow Bear Bluff. -Minimum of 2 to book Time slots: 3:00 PM and 4:00 Pm only Location: 11301 TX-217, Canyon, 79015 CANCELLATION POLICY: -For cancellations, please contact at least 5 days before your appointment to avoid being charged. Public trail ride at Palo Duro Canyon for 1 hr (Per person) You'll see the beauty and ruggedness of Palo Duro Canyon State Park up close. Ride past Sad Monkey Mesa, the Catarina Caves, hoodoos, and some of the canyon's Spanish Skirts, along the walls of the canyon — beautifully comprised of different layers and colors, revealing 230 million years of geologic history. Blooming cactus and wildflowers, though seasonal, are typically abundant. Riders are often lucky enough to glimpse some of the canyon’s wildlife, including mule deer, feral hogs, wild turkeys, roadrunners, aoudad sheep, and sometimes, even a coyote, bobcat, or diamondback rattlesnake! Important: -1 hour duration - Public rides are open to all riding levels (Rider Restrictions Apply), and can accommodate groups of up to 12 people. -Kids must be 6 years or older and adults must weigh under 225 lbs. -Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the ride. -No Double Riders -No riding experience needed! -No flip flops, sandals, crocs, etc. -Please bring your phone or camera to take pictures along the ride. Water or gatorade is also highly recommended. -This one hour long ride is approximately 3.5 miles round trip -If you arrive wearing open toe shoes you will not be allowed to ride and are not eligible for a refund. - This is located at inside the alo Duro Canyon State Park so you need to pay for the entrance per person. -Time will be confirmed once booked. Gender specific masseuse available upon request and subject to availability. Gratuity and parking fees may or may not be included, depending on your area.
