Afternoon Delight

This vacation home in Beverly Mass was absolutely beautiful and everything we could have hoped for. Immaculately clean, comfortable, views were heavenly being right on Crane River. Fenced in yard for dogs was great to have and loved using the kayaks right out the gate of the fenced in yard as in your own personal boat slip of sorts. Felt private as it is a very pleasant and peaceful area even at the heighth of the season for MA coastal areas. Cute local beaches and restaurants. Not sure what more we could have asked for that wasn’t already provided or all around us. Cranes and Herons every morning walking around the banks of the river like it was unreal. Very generous and communicative hosts. This listing was not in my typical budget for getaways but well worth the price Looking forward to arranging another stay at this home again!!

This was without a doubt one of the cleanest, most organized and lovliest VRBO's that we have ever stayed in. Afternoon Delight was perfect in every sense. While most of our trips typically use the property as "home base" for sleeping and eating, we actually spent nearly all of our time sitting out on the lovely deck watching the tide roll in/out and chatting with our family. We actually canceled a trip to Salem to tour the town because we didn't find anything there compelling enough to lure us away from this haven. This place is located near a small park where we enjoyed nice walks and met some of the friendliest people...not sure whoever said that Northerners were unfriendly...clearly they never visited Beverly, MA. There's lots of great restaurants, grocery, coffee shops and ice cream places nearby, so your only challenge will be to pick one. We will most definitely be back again as our son is studying in Boston...I only hope that there will be vacancy here.

This is the first time we were ever pleasantly surprised that the pictures did NOT do justice. This property is pristine, it's beautifully located and as homey as can be. We absolutely loved it and will stay again! There was only 1 issue and that was that there is only 1 shower in the house and we had 4 adults getting ready for a wedding:-) The oversized tub upstairs is a wonderful soaking tub, though!!

What a fabulous house, right by the river, the balcony is the perfect place to sit and relax with the beverage of your choice (mine's a gin and tonic). Quiet neighbourhood, friendly locals. Conveniently situated to explore the local area, Boston an easy drive away. Well stocked as regards cutlery, crockery, utensils etc. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
