Creekside

We had a lovely stay in the downstairs unit at Thornton Creek. We made a very last-minute booking including us and our cat, and Kathy was incredibly quick and accommodating for our needs. The space was lovely as 2 beds/1 bath, and the kitchen is fully functional like home. It's a basement unit built into a hill, but there was plenty of sunshine & fresh air from a large window in each bedroom. It was also very temperate even on a record hot day, and the large AC unit in the kitchen-living room is plenty to keep the place cold if needed. There are additional wall heaters in each room, so I'm sure it would be cozy in winter. Beds are very very comfortable. The upstairs floors would squeak from foot traffic, but any other noise carrying from the upper unit was minimal. I also really appreciated the LVP floors throughout, so easy to clean up for a place that allows pets.

I booked Kathy’s ground floor 2 bedroom space for 8 nights as a “flat” place where I could help my daughter recover from her ACL surgery. It was perfect for us. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was great because we cooked a lot. The beds were soft and comfortable, and the surroundings were absolutely idyllic. The property backs up to a creek where you can go for a walk or hike, do yoga, or partake in “forest bathing.” The property also has a backyard fire pit to enjoy. Kathy has thought of everything, including a clothes steamer which I happily used to revive my wrinkled clothes. That was a very nice surprise. All in all, it was the peaceful and restful place we thought it would be, with no stairs! Highly recommend!!

I am so grateful to Kathy for a lovely stay in her tranquil home. I was in a bit of a bind in that another AirBnB that I had booked for myself and my dog did not work out. I wrote to Kathy asking to book and she called me right away. The personal touch was really appreciated! Her place is absolutely beautiful, in a tranquil setting on a creek with walking trails. Every amenity was accounted for. I felt safe and at peace. I would love to stay again the next time I am in Seattle.

I had the pleasure of staying at Kathy’s Creekside Retreat for two months after selling my home, and I can confidently say it was a great choice! The home is warm and inviting, decorated with seasonal accessories. With all of my belongings in storage, I truly appreciated how well-equipped the Creekside Retreat is—it really lacks nothing! Kathy even went the extra mile and left a roasting pan for me to use when she found out I was hosting Thanksgiving. Kathy was attentive, occasionally checking in to see if I needed anything and keeping me updated on important details about my home away from home. The neighborhood itself is wonderfully quiet and I enjoyed having quick access to freeways for my travels. Overall, my time at Kathy’s Creekside Retreat was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it!
