Charming Cabin with Year-Round Mountain Views
Tucked into the trees with year-round views of Beech Mountain, Snow Place Like Home, a three-level cabin, is a less than 10-minute walk from Sugar Mountain Resort and less than a mile to the alpine coaster, ropes courses, and gem mining. Inside, you’ll find a king suite with its own deck, a second king room, a loft with double beds and vintage arcade games, and a lower level game room with foosball and poker table that opens to your own private hot tub.

Great location for a perfect weekend getaway. Really enjoyed staying here. Kitchen was well-appointed. House was clean and comfy. Plenty of games to keep you occupied. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. Would definitely come back.
We have not had - as a family- a more relaxed weekend in a VERY long time. The layout of this house is perfect for families. We have a medically fragile kiddo who usually ends up sleeping on a mattress next to our bed when we travel- due to his medical equipment. This home allowed him to have his OWN room right next to ours. This was so exciting for him. Our older son had his own space upstairs which he loved. The kitchen was totally stocked, the house was clean, and the games and game room just made it feel welcoming. We usually travel to the mts over Thanksgiving so this time of year was different for us. This house however is the BEST house we have stayed in since we started our thanksgiving tradition 6 years ago. It will be saved as our first choice when we visit the area again. We truly appreciate the opportunity to have stayed here and look forward to staying here again in the future.
This is an amazing home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They have thought of every detail and amenity you could possibly need. From the well stocked kitchen to plenty of games and toys for children. Every member of our party enjoyed the home. The location was extremely convenient to stores and restaurants and very close to the slopes. Even though we were not in town for that purpose, we couldn’t help but notice what a great location it would be for skiing. We would love to come back to visit again and highly recommend this home.
I loved every moment of my stay at this cabin! The hosts had clearly anticipated all their guests needs as there were books and games for all ages, all the kitchen tools you could want and information available about nearby attractions. I loved the location of the home as it was super convenient to get to nearby sights like grandfather mountain but also close enough to stores and restaurants to not have to go far for anything. Cant wait for my next stay here!!

No unregistered guests or visitors allowed; all guests must be included in the reservation. Hot tub use is for ages 16 years & older. We are not liable for injuries. Please wear shoes to the hot tub to avoid tracking debris in the hot tub. If the hot tub needs to be drained, refilled, or repaired, there will be additional fees. Smoking / vaping is not permitted in the house or on the property, including on decks or porch. No snow sledding on the property as it causes damage - leading to land erosion, deterioration of irrigation paths, and ruining plants. There is a sledding hill on Beech Mtn. The cabin has three exterior security cameras with 24/7 monitoring. Tampering with them is a violation of AirBNB policy. The fireplace is inoperable, as the flue is permanently closed. Do not attempt a fire. ❌ Violation of rules can result in cancellation of the reservation without a refund and additional fees. ❌
