The Angus Suite is the inn's downstairs suite, and it feels like a house within the house. The bedroom is painted a warm terracotta beneath a crystal chandelier, with an antique sleigh bed dressed in red, a carved wooden fireplace mantel crowned by an oil painting, and tall windows hung with brocade. Through the doorway is a full sitting room with deep leather sofas, an upright piano and a wall of paintings, so there is somewhere to read, talk or pour a glass before dinner. The private bath keeps the house's original black-and-white checkerboard floor. A king-size bed, a working fireplace, individual air conditioning and heat, spa sheets and fast wireless internet are standard, and a country breakfast is served in the dining room each morning from six until nine.
