Disappear for a few days at your own private forest retreat in 200 acres of Ontario’s Madawaska Valley, hidden among the tall pine and where nature sets the pace. Wake facing east. Watch the morning sun. Listen to the forest. Let the day unfold as it may. With no neighbours, less distractions and less floors to clean, we’ve created an intentional off-grid getaway that has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Welcome to Vista! There is nowhere else you need to be.

I wanted to celebrate my 30th birthday in a peaceful, remote place surrounded by nature, just with my family—my wife and our small dog. We were looking for complete quiet and tranquility away from the big city. This place exceeded all my expectations! It is a location where you truly feel at one with nature. The deep, dark night sky gives you an indescribable sense of wonder, and the early morning reveals the incredible beauty of the forest. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to recharge and disconnect. You will absolutely love it! ❤️

A perfect escape into a peaceful forest nook, chipmunks are adorable and abundant here. The host was helpful, kind and quickly responsive. The cabin was well furnished, quaint, cozy and held a plentiful amount of firewood to keep warm. The acorns falling onto the tin roof at night started out as alarming but quickly became a comforting addition to the nature escape. ***Honourable mention to the sketchbook with logs of previous stays and the opportunity to leave your mark as well.

We stayed at this cabin for two nights and three days, and it was such a wonderful experience! The cabin is tucked away in the forest, offering complete privacy. It was very clean and had everything we needed, so all we had to bring was our own food and drinks. We loved waking up to the fresh morning air and birds singing, and spending our evenings around the campfire under a sky full of stars peeking through the trees. It was absolutely magical! Our hosts, Amanda and Sam, were incredibly sweet, friendly, and attentive. We also spent some time canoeing at Bonnechere Provincial Park, which made our trip even more special. We had an amazing stay and would definitely love to come back again!

We had such a wonderful stay! The cabin looked exactly like the photos, and we especially loved the cedar wood sauna. The night sky was incredible, filled with stars. Amanda and Sam were very kind hosts and made us feel welcome. Since there’s nothing around, it truly felt like an off-grid escape—peaceful and relaxing.

YOUR PRIVATE FOREST RETREAT Cabin East is approximately 150 sq. ft., intentionally small and carefully considered. Inside, you’ll find: • A queen loft • Pima cotton sheets • A down-alternative duvet • A compact kitchenette • A wood-fired cookstove Everything you need, without filling the space with what you don’t. Outside, the cabin opens into something much bigger: • 200 acres of private forest • Forest trails • Open meadows • Quiet places to disappear into • Your own fire area • A private cedar sauna • A seasonal outdoor shower Your days might look like: • Making coffee and watching the morning light • Walking an old trail through the forest • Watching for wildlife • Cooking over the woodstove • Gathering around the fire • Heating the sauna • Stargazing • Reading in bed • Or doing absolutely nothing A PLACE WITH A HISTORY Vista is rooted in this land. The property carries old stone fences, historic trails and generations of family history, including connections to Amanda’s Polish ancestors who worked this land before it became a private forest retreat. The cabins are individually curated around their setting and orientation rather than built from a template. Cabin East faces the morning sun. The forest isn’t decoration here. It is what you came for. OFF-GRID, BY DESIGN This is genuinely off-grid. There are: • No Wi-Fi • No overhead power lines • Solar-powered electricity • Solar lighting • An EcoFlow battery for essential charging • A composting toilet • A seasonal outdoor shower You’ll build a fire. Cook on the woodstove. Charge what matters. And spend less time reaching for a screen. You may discover that some of the things you thought you needed aren’t the things you miss. YOUR PRIVATE NATURE SPA Step outside to your cedar sauna. Heat it with wood. Let the forest become your backdrop. Step into the cool air, then return to the warmth. When the season allows, finish with a hot outdoor shower beneath the trees. No spa music. No strangers. No appointment. Just you, the heat, the trees and the sound of the forest. COME FOR THE ESCAPE. FIND YOUR OWN RHYTHM. You can spend your entire stay on the property, or use Vista as a base for exploring the Madawaska Valley. Nearby: • Algonquin Provincial Park • Bonnechere Caves • Local trails, lakes and communities But you don’t have to go anywhere. Read. Cook. Walk. Sauna. Stargaze. Sleep. Talk. Be quiet. The day is yours. 200 ACRES. ONE CABIN. This isn’t a resort. It isn’t a cottage subdivision. And it isn’t a cabin surrounded by neighbours. It’s one tiny cabin on 200 private acres of forest. Come to disconnect from the busy. Stay long enough to notice what happens when you do.

CARING FOR THE LAND: ● Use the designated fire pit only, and never leave fires unattended. Always ensure they are fully out ● Respect any local fire restrictions or bans ● Pets are welcome — please keep them supervised and clean up after them
