Idaho Wilderness Yurts offers year-round backcountry yurt stays on the Crooked River, combining off-grid wilderness with considered comforts. Each insulated, 27’ diameter yurt sleeps up to eight on memory-foam mattresses (two queens and two twin XLs plus seating), includes an indoor odor-free composting toilet, a gravity-fed sink and a solar-powered refrigerator. The property centers on a luxury riverside sauna and open meadow, with direct river shoreline for swimming and fishing. In summer the valley cools each morning with mist while trails open for hiking and biking; spring brings wildflowers and runoff, autumn offers wildlife viewing, and winter invites sledding, snowmobiling and backcountry skiing. Drive-up access is available in warm months; in winter access is by skis, snowshoes or snowmobile. The operation emphasizes a self-led, intentional wilderness stay—simple modern kitchens, wood stoves for cozy evenings, and carefully chosen details to make an off-grid stay feel comfortable and restorative.
