10/10 Cannot say enough great things about this place. It’s better than we even imagined. The location is amazing. We went swimming in the water down the path in the morning. I will return! I would plan my next trip around the availability of this place. We tried to book another night after checking in bc we immediately fell in love, but it was occupied. It’s quirky and beautiful and felt like home. You must stay here! It’s not to far from Oamaru, but honestly, we never wanted to leave it. You could tell it was someone’s special home and we respected that and felt it. Can’t wait to come back someday!!!

A beautiful home with an amazing sea view. The two big decks meant access to sun and shade and were well furnished. House was comfortable, modern and very clean. Couldn't fault it, apart from losing the fight for the master suite. Will have to return for that. Very powerful showers and plenty of hot water. Walk down the street one way and on Kakanui Beach, walk the other way on same street and at Campbells Bay, such a good location in a great spot. Highly recommend this property.

The house is a piece of the host’s family history; you can really feel the love for family and for the sea. The view is incredible: it feels like sleeping on the waves! The apartment is very well organized and has everything you need. Equipped with all amenities, incredibly clean and practical. A beautiful terrace with a view. Thank you so much, my family and my dogs had a truly wonderful stay!

Amazing! 3 Adults and 2 kids. Great for our kids to explore. Close enough to get to the beach very easily. No need to leave the place to see it though! Parents came to visit and mom has a bit of mobility issues. This was the perfect place for her. Views around, flat decks and easy floors. Modern everything and very comfortable. We will come back. We loved our stay in Kakanui. This beautiful home is in a perfect location with incredible ocean views and everything needed for a comfortable stay. The house was warm, cosy, and inviting, and our favourite moments were spent having a slow morning and enjoying the sunrise. A truly special place to stay, and one we would highly recommend. What a beautiful location! And definitely a couple of notches above a typical surf shack! This is a well loved beach home with all the amenities you could need, comfy beds and modern kitchen. Our old Labrador was in doggie heaven with the sunny balcony and regular walks on the beach. An amazing find. We’ll be back for sure.

What a hidden gem! Warm cosy home with spacious living areas and everything you could ask for to enjoy a peaceful yet luxurious stay. Views were even better in person! Our family loved staying here together and would highly recommend….could’ve stayed longer to explore more of the area.

We had an amazing two day stay at this beautiful house. It was very homey and close to the beach and a short drive from Oamaru for coffee and shopping. Amazing views and clean rooms. Can totally recommend this place if you want solitude and comfort

这个房子远超我们的预期，可以体验柴火壁炉，尤其是在冬天这一点很重要。我和我的朋友们爱死这个壁炉了，我们都舍不得离开那片区域。家里有超丰富的厨房用具，我认为可以满足做饭的所有需求。地板和床品都超级新和干净，洗浴也是，一切都是崭新的。还拥有超大的前后院子。我认为如果是自驾的话，这个房子是一个超值得去住的。因为它离奥马鲁仅有十分钟车程，我相信同价格在奥马鲁找不到这么好的房源。如果可以的话，我很希望能再次入住在下一次的新西兰之旅。说实话，我个人觉得爱彼迎上的照片可以拍的再好一点哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Plenty of utensils and living space. Spacious outer deck on both side of the house. Great view of sunrise and walking distance to the beach. The host Melissa was very responsive and helpful during the stay.
