We had a great stay at Marcus & Marissa's property. It was great for our family of 5, plus our dog who came with us! The house is well-located less than a block from a lovely, dog-friendly beach and right near the start of the Atlantic City boardwalk. We did have a couple nights where the neighbors were out partying and making noise into the wee hours of the morning, but that comes with it being a vacation home and party-oriented community. There's a great two-car garage to park in safely and the house is fully equipped with all the supplies you need to enjoy your time there. The house was extremely clean and, though some of the finishings are not quite as durable/premium as they could be, we found them in good condition and well taken care of. This also definitely felt like a vacation rental, with a lot of rules the hosts have put in place to make sure it stays running smoothly and labels with rules/orientation notes galore. We found Marcus and Marissa to be great, proactive and highly communicative hosts who were available for everything we needed along the way!
Grotto Grove is truly a treasure in every sense of the word. Cozy, charming & enchanting are also words that come to mind. The space is thoughtfully designed and just lovely. It was just what the doctor ordered for my husband and me. This property is gorgeous & nestled amidst a beautiful, serene landscape & close to hiking trails (even has its own) & waterfalls! It provided us both the ability to cozy up, relax, rejuvenate along with the ability to enjoy its beautiful surroundings & did we enjoy! We were able to hike and explore! I was on a hunt for waterfalls & find them we did! If this is something you seek Marshall Falls, Raymondskill Falls, Dingman Falls, and the biggest Bushkill Falls with at least 8 waterfalls in this area! Grotto Grove is only within 45 minutes from these. Visit the beautiful Grey Towers National Historic site! Marcus & Marissa are wonderful hosts! Do not hesitate to book your stay. It will not disappoint. It will surpass all of your expectations as it did ours
Without a doubt, the name chosen by the host for this house could not have been more appropriate. The river is definitely one of the highlights of the property. Being able to sit on the deck, enjoy a coffee, listen to the sound of the water, and take in the surrounding nature is a true privilege and a wonderful way to disconnect from our busy lives. On hot days, being able to swim in the river is truly a relaxing and therapeutic experience. As for the host, Marcus was extremely attentive and thoughtful, always making sure everything was going well and that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The interior of the house is very cozy, with plenty of books and some lovely objects that bring back memories of earlier times and give the house a unique charm. I highly recommend this home for large families, groups of friends, and guests traveling with their pets. It was a wonderful experience and a truly peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature.
My husband and I stayed at the grotto for our wedding anniversary. It was everything we wanted: quiet and secluded with hiking on the property. The decorations were beautiful (I’m biased because it was 100% my taste). The bird feeders were lovely. We loved waking up watching the birds eat away at the suet. We enjoyed the wood burning stove and fireplace as well. Waking up in the room surrounded by windows to the fall foliage was seriously magical!
Had an amazing stay here! The river view was absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. The place is surrounded by beautiful nature, making it the perfect peaceful getaway from busy city life. Waking up to the sound of the river and enjoying the fresh air was truly relaxing. The property was clean, cozy, and very well maintained. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to enjoy nature and stunning views!
Wonderful respite from the city. Loved having this land that was private, and pretty darn quiet. Sleeping in the bedroom with windows open was like camping with the sounds and smell of the forest surrounding you but much more comfortable. Marcus & Marissa were extremely responsive and helpful. Loved the bird watching and sitting areas outside. Would love to come back one day.
Spending my birthday weekend with a few girlfriends at serene sanctuary was exactly the kind of getaway we needed. Marcus was responsive and there were great and easy instructions. It really felt like home away from home! We ended taking a local hike that was recommended in the guidebook, it was the perfect escape. Would definitely come back !
My family and I had another great experience at Ocean Oasis. All the amenities kept us entertained and engaged with one another throughout our 5-night stay. Marcus and Marissa were delightful hosts and added personal touches to include a thank you card for our return and gift basket to help us celebrate Independence Day.
This Airbnb stay was one of those weekends that fills your cup. Spending time by the creek, splashing in the water, laughing, relaxing, and making memories together reminded me how much joy there is in the simple moments. So thankful for this little 30th birthday getaway and all the memories made!!
We had a great weekend in AC at Marcus & Melissa’s! They were extremely responsive when we had questions. Great neighborhood to stay that is close to the beach and walking distance to other restaurants on the bay. We enjoyed making dinners in the big kitchen and had everything we needed.
