Some holidays are about a particular day. Others are about finally getting everyone in the same place. From November through February, a stay at Casa Karma can be either: Thanksgiving dinner with the ocean in view, Christmas morning beside your own pool, or a winter week with no celebration to organize at all.
Casa Karma is a family-owned, four-bedroom beachfront home in Playacar Phase 1, Playa del Carmen. There is room for eight, every bedroom has its own bathroom, and the terrace opens onto the sand. Karla handles bookings herself, so the conversation starts with your group and the dates that work for you.

Is the Holiday Season the Best Time to Visit Playa del Carmen?
November–February is a good window to consider if you want a Caribbean escape during the northern winter, a place to bring the family for the holidays, or a shared house for time with friends. The best month within that window depends on whether you want the celebration itself or more flexibility around it.
Playa del Carmen has a warm climate, with summer rainfall described in the municipal climate overview. A winter date still cannot promise sunny skies, calm water, or particular beach conditions. November also remains within the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs through November 30 according to NOAA. Check forecasts and local guidance near departure, and leave room to move outdoor plans.
That does not make the rest of the year a second choice. Summer can fit school holidays, while spring and autumn can suit groups with different schedules. Choose Your Month, Then Your Dates
November: gather around the table
Thanksgiving gives a family trip a natural centerpiece: one meal, everyone together, and a few days on either side to enjoy the house. Casa Karma’s dining table seats eight. You can cook together or ask Karla to arrange a private chef at additional cost, with the menu and service agreed in advance.
You do not have to travel over Thanksgiving itself. Send a second date range if your group can arrive earlier in November or stay after the holiday. December: keep the traditions you love
Christmas at a shared house leaves room for familiar routines: breakfast together, gifts in the living room, and a meal at your own table. The change is what sits outside the door. A pool, shaded terrace, and direct beach access give everyone somewhere to spend the hours between those moments.

January: make room for an unhurried week
If your calendar opens up after the celebrations, January is worth discussing with your group. You can build the trip around time at the house instead of a holiday meal: breakfast overlooking the water, a walk into town, and an afternoon back by the pool.
For anyone combining a stay with some work, Casa Karma has Wi-Fi and a dedicated Zoom room with an iMac. Agree on work hours with your group so a few calls do not quietly take over the whole trip. January availability and rates still need to be confirmed for your dates.
February: a winter break on your own schedule
February can suit a family break, a trip with friends, or couples sharing the house. Four private suites make it possible to spend the day together and still have your own space at night. A dinner at home, a town outing, and a morning without an alarm can be enough of an itinerary.
Compare everyone’s actual travel windows, including school and work commitments. February is not automatically cheaper or quieter than the holiday weeks; request a quote for the dates and number of nights you are considering.

Why Stay at Casa Karma for the Holidays?
The appeal is having a home where the group can come together without doing everything together. Some people can swim while others read on the covered terrace or finish breakfast. Four en-suite bedrooms give everyone a place to retreat when they want a quieter hour.
The house is in gated Playacar Phase 1, with 24/7 security. It is about a ten-minute walk to 5th Avenue and about eight minutes along the beach to the Cozumel ferry pier. You can alternate evenings at home with meals in town, rather than choosing one kind of holiday for the entire stay.

The stay includes one round-trip car transfer from Cancun Airport, housekeeping, pool service, and Wi-Fi. A private chef, pre-arrival groceries, massage, and yoga are optional arrangements at additional cost. Discuss those requests ahead of time so you know what is included and what needs a separate quote.
Leave Some of the Week Unplanned
Start with the few things that need arranging: arrival, departure, a holiday dinner if you want one, and perhaps one outing. Let the rest of the week take shape around your group.
Have one slow morning at the house. Casa Karma faces east toward Cozumel. If you are awake early, watch the sunrise from the terrace before breakfast.

Make room for another pool day. You do not need an excursion every morning to make good use of a beachfront home.
For families, plan active adult supervision around the pool and beach. Before choosing water activities, check the beach cam and local guidance; a camera view is a glimpse of conditions, not a swimming forecast.
Plan Your Holiday or Winter Stay
Send your preferred arrival and departure dates, guest count, and a second date range if you have flexibility. Mention a chef dinner or groceries you would like ready on arrival. Karla can then confirm availability, the rate, stay requirements, fees, and cancellation terms for your exact trip.
For the November 2026–February 2027 season, New Year’s Eve is unavailable. Other dates must be checked individually. Holiday stays start at four nights, and some periods may require longer; sending an inquiry does not reserve or hold dates.
