The Holiday auto-bump feature lets you automatically raise your nightly rates around major holidays and school breaks. When demand is high, you can capture premium pricing without manually adjusting dates on your calendar.
What It Does
Holiday price bumps apply a percentage increase to your base nightly rate for dates within a configurable window around each holiday or school break. For example, you might add a 15% bump for 3 days before and 2 days after Thanksgiving.
Where to Find It
You can set up holiday price bumps from two places:
- Property Calendar – Open your property's calendar, then expand the Holiday auto-bump section in the right panel.
- Edit Listing – In the property editor, use the holiday bump sheet when managing pricing.
How to Set Up Holiday Bumps
- Go to your property's Calendar or Edit Listing page.
- Open the Holiday auto-bump section.
- Select which holidays or school breaks you want to bump. A list of major holidays and school breaks in your current date range is shown.
- Configure the bump parameters:
- Days before – Number of days before the holiday/break to start the bump (e.g., 3 = 3 days before).
- Days after – Number of days after the holiday/break to end the bump (e.g., 2 = 2 days after).
- Bump percent – The percentage to add to your base price (e.g., 15 = 15% increase).
- Click Apply changes.
Holidays vs. School Breaks
- Holidays – Major U.S. holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc.).
- School breaks – Common school vacation periods (spring break, winter break, etc.).
Both types appear in the list. School breaks are labeled separately so you can choose which to bump.
Tips
- Typical bump range: Many hosts use 10–20% for holidays.
- Extend the window – Use days before and after to cover travel days. For example, 2 days before and 1 day after Thanksgiving captures guests arriving early and leaving late.
- Adjust the calendar view – If you don't see the holidays you want, change the date range on the calendar to load more events.
- Select all – Use "Select all" to quickly enable bumps for every visible holiday, then deselect any you don't want.
Managing Rules
- Remove a holiday – Deselect it and click Apply changes.
- Clear all – Click Clear all to remove every holiday bump rule for the property.
- Update params – Change days before/after or bump percent, then apply to update all selected rules.
