River Rock House

The home is very nice. The furnishings are tasteful and in good condition. The rooms are spacious and the living room and family room are at different ends of the home so people can get away from each other if they want to. The backyard deck is also very nice, looking out into the forest (no houses behind it) which makes it peaceful, woodsy, and quiet. The only downside with the design of the home is that it is built on many levels. From the front door entry, you have to either go upstairs to the bedrooms or down a step or two to the living room. To get out of the living room you have to up a few stairs—so there is alot of up and down. We were happy with the drive to the So. Tahoe "Y" for groceries and restaurants.

We had an amazing stay! The place was exactly as described very clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Check-in was easy, communication with the host was excellent, and everything we needed was provided. You can tell they really care about making sure guests have a great experience. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We had a wonderful stay, even though it was only for one night. The house was very clean, quiet, and in a beautiful location. The backyard is next to the forest, and we had a shashlik BBQ on Saturday night. We really enjoyed spending time outside. I was a little scared that a bear might come. The house was very comfortable and had lots of space. I also liked that it was not too decorated, so it felt simple and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Our dog, Cypher, loved it too. He felt at home right away. He stayed on his dog bed but spent most of his time enjoying the backyard. We have stayed in many Airbnbs, but this place really touched our hearts. It truly felt like home. Thank you, Ryan, for being a great host and I really appreciate your help with the bbq grill and the fire pit. We would love to come back and I highly recommend this place.

This was our second time staying at the River Rock House before it switched to new management, and it was just as lovely as we remembered! The location, beautiful woodsy views, and cozy atmosphere made for a great getaway for my birthday weekend. We especially enjoyed evenings by the fire pit on the back patio and exploring the meadows behind the house that eventually lead to a lovely river. While we did encounter a few unexpected hiccups during our stay, Ryan was extremely responsive and handled everything quickly and professionally. His attentiveness and dedication to making things right really made a difference. We felt well cared for and would happily stay here again!
